Ok.I bought yet another kitchen appliance and (as usual) hardly read instructions before starting.

I just used tap water:is that ok??does it have to be boiled&cooled?

Advice/tips in general awaited:)

Hi

Use drinking watrer to mix in with the sachet - needs to be cold. Then fill the "baffle" up with boiling water - i just use kettle water.

Also - first few times, i found it hard to get right consistency, but you'll figure out how much water you'll need to add to the sachet - whether above or below the line.

Hope that helps. i think they're amazing. :)

Hi cupcakes. Cheers for the reply. Tap water was pretty cold so hoping it will be ok. Just had to confess to DH re new purchase.

What else do you add? Fruit coulis from shop? Do you always use the sachets?

Can' t wait to see reslut but backup yoghurt in fridge in case of disaster.

I'm really fussy - so don't add anything!!! (no help there really!) - onlyt tried 4 flavours - low-fat vanilla and lemon, and normal vanilla and lemon.

And again, always use the sachets, but i've heard good things about the ice cream?

I only really like the plain natural/greek ones - I found the fruity flavoured ones came out a bit "gluey", but I like adding honey or stewed fruit for something a bit different.

Allegedly you can keep a bit of yoghurt back and use that as a starter mixed with UHT milk to make a whole new pot of yoghurt but I haven't tried that myself.
