Jacket potatoes with lentil chilli and salad plus grated cheese.

Big veggie curry (maybe potato, cauliflower and chickpea plus some frozen peas) with homemade chapatis (v easy and cheap) and yoghurt.

Make two big cheese and onion quiches and have them with salad and roasted new potatoes (or make your own spicey baked beans to go with this if bored of salad).

Veggie tagine and cous cous.

no rice or pasta? hell.

Lots of potatoes. Lots of potatoes.

Go to the greengrocer and get the 4 stone bag of potatos with the dirt still on. They last better, are cheaper and I believe contain more nutrition (vague on that last one)

Mash: with scallion and finely shredded new cabbage, topped with soft fried egg.

Fish cakes with a tin of tuna/small amount of chopped chorizo or bacon. Serve with frozen green beans they are cheaper than salad but take salad dressings well. A nice simple dressing with the chorizo cakes that you may have in the storecupboard is wholegrain mustard & olive oil.

Wedges and sausages.

Jackets, tuna and mayo.

If you grate cheese and mix it with a small bit of mayo it melts really nicely under the grill, so that an option for another topping.

Veg soup and brown bread.

Porrige for breakfasts.

I can't believe you can't have pasta or rice! Must make things difficult.

Shepherd's pie.

Irish Stew using cheapo stewing beef (simmer for ages, make it nice and tender)

Lentil + ham hock stew (ask your butcher for ham hocks, really cheap and nice once you simmer for a good hour and a half, good on sandwiches for leftovers as well.)

I do sausages and courgettes in tomato sauce with pasta, courgettes really cheap at the moment too, maybe substitute the pasta with patato wedges?

Soup and lots of it for lunch. A roast chicken for dinner and use the bones for stock the next day.

Stuffed courgettes, really nice with minced beef, you can bulk it out with onions, mushrooms etc.

Go to greengrocers and supermarket at the end of the day to pick up some nearly out of date food.

Lentils! Chickpeas, blackbeans etc serve as a protein and starch so use the dried forms to cook massive batches of soups/dahl/to bulk out a chilli or casserole. I swear by them to stretch the food budget

500g dried chickpeas are about 80p or a quid and makes 1.2 kg cooked and drained in my experience. Which is a full portion for 7 really, combined with onions and other veg.

Lunches: Save money by doing your own bread if you have a machine? or tbh easy even if you don't Have bulk blocks of cheese, bulk packs of ham and homemade hummus, and one day you could use canned tuna to make a big bowl of tuna mayo and sweetcorn?
Also consider lentil soup, homemade pizza, baked potatoes.

Dinners:
Monday: Chickpea curry and homemade flatbreads
Tuesday: Soya mince is pretty good for a chilli style stew - and really good protein. With baked potatoes and salad
Wednesday: Eggs on toast or a variation of it (fried eggs, fried toast, grilled mushrooms and toms)
Thursday: Chicken casserole made with thighs or a whole chicken which you've cooked and shredded, with mash and greens
Friday: Curried lentil dahl and bombay potatoes or naan breads
Saturday: Beef stew with potatoes or barley in it and carrots
Sunday: Roast meat and pots, carrots and cabbage
