Home made pizza for me.

But i'll probably change my mind (again) next week!

a Cyanide tablet to get it over & done with!

BunnyLebowski · 17/07/2010 20:43

What I've just had for dinner, courtesy of DP, rare rib-eye with homemade chips and diane sauce washed down with a bottle of barolo

tethersend · 17/07/2010 20:46

Anything that takes a long time to make.

AnitaBush · 17/07/2010 20:48

bunny is right with the rare rib eye, but I would have French style frites, and pepper sauce from a packet

MoonFaceMama · 17/07/2010 21:09

Home made chips... Yum!

I'm sure that red wine would be compulsory, given the circumstances!
So, tethers parmesan and christmas pud it is

A gigantic seafood plateau, with lobster, langoustines, prawns, scallops, oysters, clams, mussels, etc.

taffetacatski · 18/07/2010 08:52

bunny - barolo, mmmm! how wonderful. special occasion or just a regular Sat night?

for me - a really good very salty clam chowder, then a bursting at the seams lobster roll, or a spicy Thai style green lip mussel dish, then probably something cakey pudding cross unctuous with lemon and gooey almond

with a cold very good Chablis

SheWillBeLoved · 18/07/2010 11:26

A huge smelly mixed cheese platter with lots of lovely breads/crackers, and a nice chilled bottle Champers [drool]

BelligerentGhoul · 18/07/2010 11:35

I would like either a huge Greek salad with no tomatoes, with toasted ptta bread, chilli & feta dip, proper homemade hoummus etc, followed by a big piece of proper cheesecake with no 'coulis' or 'sprinkling of berries' or 'crushed jus of virgin-pricked raspberries' or anything like that, or by a really good lemony lemon tart.

OR

a selection of nice breads and a load of cheese, grapes, celery etc, Garners pickled onions, more bread - something chocolatey to follow, perhaps a box of Bittermints.

Not bothered about alcohol but a proper hot chocolate (maybe with Baileys?) wouldn't go amiss.

IPredictADiet · 18/07/2010 11:44

chip butty, made with plasticky white bread, proper butter, and chippy chips.

Followed by J Sheekey's salted caramel ice cream. Nice bottle of Laurent Perrier Rose.

akhems · 18/07/2010 11:48

I actually was sposed to have a last supper a couple of years ago, as I was going to have stomach surgery and expected never to be able to eat normal food again.

My plan was to have a rib eye steak with all the trimmings but ran out of time and ended up with a corned beef sandwich

BelligerentGhoul · 18/07/2010 11:49

You can buy salted caramel flavour ice cream? Why hasn't anybody told me this? Where can I buy it?

IPredictADiet · 18/07/2010 11:54

Belligerent Ghoul (fab name), I have only had it in a restaurant, but you can DIY here

it is as good as it sounds.

gorionine · 18/07/2010 11:54

I'd have that

happystory · 18/07/2010 12:01

Real lovely piping hot Yorkshire fish and chips

MoonFaceMama · 18/07/2010 13:24

Gorion is that a giant cheese, small bowl of pickles, and two new potatoes? and more importantly is that water in the glasses?

happy any scraps (bits if you're in hudds) or a wet?

that ice cream sounds lush!

Akhems that is awefull! Are you ok now...can you eat properly? Or do you hang out on food to torture yourself eat vicariously?

I could eat lots of these suggestions [greedy emoticon]

MoonfaceMamma, It is a giant cheese indeed. It is a traditional Swiss dish called Raclette. It is white wine on the picture but I have it with tea as I do not drink alcohol.

TheArmadillo · 18/07/2010 17:02

I'd have rare rib eye steak too - with roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, mushrooms and gravy.

Followed by a cheese board (strong cheddar and brie plus maybe one other) plus pate and pickled onions and nice bread. Oh and proper nice butter.

MAybe a double chocolate fudge cake (warm) wiht ice cream and chocolate fudge sauce dribbled over.

I wouldn't bother with a starter to save room .

Wish I was having that rather than cottage pie for dinner.

bibbitybobbityhat · 18/07/2010 17:05

Roast shoulder of lamb, roast potatoes, new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, green beans, carrots, peas, mint sauce, gravy.

Bottle of pinot grigio blush.

A cigarette.

5inthebed · 18/07/2010 17:10

Pork chops with cheesy mash and curried beans

Nice bottle of Merlot

Macadamia nut Ben & Jerrys

and to finsh off a platter of the stinkiest cheeses, onion chutney and crackers.

akhems · 18/07/2010 17:22

moonfacemama.. thankfully I can now eat most things carefully so the last supper was an unneccessary anguish, lol

BelligerentGhoul · 18/07/2010 22:05

I Predict A Diet thanks for that - sounds like an excuse to add an icecream maker to my Christmas wish list.

flibbertigibbert · 19/07/2010 13:30

Christmas dinner - roast turkey, glazed ham, sausages wrapped in bacon, chestnut stuffing, carrots, parsnips, cabbage and lots of gravy.

Jam roly-poly and custard for pudding.

Iklboo · 19/07/2010 13:34

A 70's style buffet - vol-au-vents, cheese & pickled onion 'hedgehog', salmon spread on finger rolls, assorted triangle sandwiches, sausage AND cheese & onion rolls, pork pies, savoury rice and some kind of pasta bowl. Then black forest gateau and Vienetta.

I'd wash it down with a case of decent white wine from 'today'

abshirley · 19/07/2010 19:59

Scampi, new potatoes and peas with tartare sauce, followed by lemon mousse, served with a nice rose wine. Would like a nice bit of roquefort with a couple of water biscuits to finish off.
