Budget toddler meals

As a family we are on an austerity drive as I'm starting a PGCE in September. I am struggling to come up with meals for my toddler twins that aren't expensive. I usually make things like cottage pie, lasagne, chilli etc but there are times when dh and I are eating something they can't like spicy curries, etc and I'd like some ideas for what to cook for them then. I also have the problem that one twin is fussy and the other will eat pretty much anything!

Eggs Florentine, home made fish pie, slow cooked beef stew with sweet potatoes?

Mine love soup, eggy things, casseroles etc. They also love curries etc though so I never cook them anything different to what I'm having.

Wraps are always a hit, either make your own seasoning from what you already have or buy a jar of seasoning rather than a kit, works out cheaper. Beans and/or veg can be used rather than meat.

You could also do lentil versions of the cottage pie etc, mine like those as much as the meaty ones.

Eggy bread.... dip chunky-sliced bread in beaten egg, fry off in a pan both sides and serve with peas.

Vegetable fried rice.... fry up a mix of diced peppers, chopped spring onions, peas and sweetcorn with some cooked rice and a little soy sauce.

Beanburgers... mash up some drained kidney beans with some beaten egg, breadcrumbs/oats, some seasoning, minced onion and grated carrot. Form into patties and fry both sides.

OR... make lots and lots of fresh italian-style tomato sauce with basic canned tomatoes, freeze it in portion-size tubs and then serve up with pasta.
