Part-Time Housekeeper – Friendly Family Home in Chiswick

We are a friendly family based in Chiswick looking for an experienced, reliable, and long-term housekeeper to help keep our home running smoothly.

We have two primary school-aged children, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a family home, although no childcare is required.

We are currently living in a nearby rental property while our family home is being fully renovated. The role would begin in our rental home before moving with us to our newly renovated home next year. We hope to find someone who will become a valued, long-term part of our household.

Role details

  • Live-out, part-time position
  • 12–15 hours per week, ideally spread over 4 or 5 weekdays (Monday to Friday)
  • Flexible daytime hours – we are happy to agree a schedule that works well for both sides
  • £24+ per hour, depending on experience

Main responsibilities

  • Maintaining the home to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Laundry and ironing, including family clothing and bed linen and arranging for dry cleaning
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and well maintained
  • Occasional light meal preparation or simple family-friendly cooking (a bonus rather than essential)
  • Running occasional local errands, such as returning parcels or picking up a few groceries
  • Managing household supplies and helping keep the home organised

We’re looking for someone who is

  • Trustworthy, discreet, and dependable
  • Experienced in a similar housekeeping role, ideally within a family home
  • Proactive and able to work independently, taking real pride in their work
  • Someone who naturally notices the little things that help a household run smoothly, without needing to be asked
  • Comfortable working in a family home with children (although childcare is not part of the role)

There are no pets in the household.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking for a stable, long-term position with a kind, respectful family who genuinely values high-quality housekeeping.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide two recent references.

If this sounds like a role you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you. Please message me with a brief introduction to yourself and details of your relevant experience. Thank you for reading.
