Black moor goldfish bent on side

I have two black moors in a 135L tank. One is a few years old and started off with another owner and another black moor in a 45L tank. We've had him for about 18 months in our 135L.

He's always been extremely healthy but over the weekend he suddenly started spending most of his time on the bottom of the tank and then last night/this morning he's been curved over.

Tested the water yesterday and it had 0 ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Also did a 30% water change.

We were away over the weekend so he missed a couple of days of food so doubt he's constipated, otherwise on same food he's always had.

I've treated the tank with Prime just in case, and also started Melafix.

I suspect when I get home from work he'll be no more, but anything else I could try?

Don't have any advice but just wondering how your fish was doing?

I'm v sorry but can only say that fish were the worst pets we ever had. They are so v difficult. Some tiny thing wrong with the water and they are poorly Sad

Well Fishy is going to be renames Lazarus... Posted the above on Monday, came home and he was still on sitting on the bottom of the tank, but not curved over. Fed them some peas and that seemed to brighten him up and he seemed almost back to normal all evening, and when we got up on Tuesday.

Got home on Tuesday and he was curled over again. Fed peas, and again that seemed to cause a miraculous improvement and he seemed fine on Wednesday morning.

Same again on Wednesday evening, looking dire and then peas fixed it.

Fed as normal this morning as he seemed to perk up whenever fed (could he have been starving?!) and when I got home he was swimming around, no bother on him.

So fingers crossed it stays that way...

Bloody fish, as you say Oleschool, so bloody temperamental!
