Definitely not a Christmas Carol, it's terrifying. Maybe Alvin and chipmunks sequel? Haven't seen it yet, but 1st one was ok.

Chipmunks

Planet 51

they're both U's

TheFoosa · 15/12/2009 19:11

we are going to see Chipmunks 2

I haven't seen a proper grown-up film since 2001

Curlygirly · 15/12/2009 19:30

Ds1 saw planet 51 on sunday and has had nightmares the last two nights. He said some of it is from the film. He is 7 yrs old.

chipmunks does look ok - or where the wild things are perhaps. any more recommendations

I don't know, but where the wild things are looks pretty scary, even to me

I want to take my 3 year old DD to see Where The Wild Things Are, she likes the book but don't know if she will be a bit scared of the film, she keeps asking to go and see it but I've never took her to the pictures before as she can't sit still for longer than 5 seconds!

JACKIEwrappingPAPER · 15/12/2009 20:09

polar express? tis on at the imax in 3d round 'ere (b'ham)

JACKIEwrappingPAPER · 15/12/2009 20:10

where the wild things are is a PG (as is christmas carol) IME too scary for under 7's

mustrunmore · 15/12/2009 20:13

Chipmunks, definitely.

Xmas Carol is very very scary. My 6yr old found it scarier than anything he's ever seen, including Dr Who, and real things like looking at biological things etc. He's not nervy or squeamish at all. 3 yr old said @ I want to go home@ after 10 mins.

Saw the review of WTWTA on tv, and all the ritics asid its very grown up, not at all a kis film. And a bit shit, to boot!

cranbury · 16/12/2009 13:21

ok thanks chipmunks it is - read wtwta last night to DD and I would think any film would be very scary

Where The Wild Things Are was a great disappointment to my lot, there wasn't enough action or funny moments in it to sustain their interest. I thought the filming and music were beautiful but the messages were too deep for them.

Shame, we were expecting good things from it.
