What a superb film! Intelligent and brilliantly directed.

It was absolutely excellent. I felt like I was right there with them for the whole thing. It's really stuck with me since watching it the other day especially how so many people just kept going on as normal while this was all happening.

Unfortunately I've already seen a lot of bad reviews that have nothing to do with the actual film which I did expect but is disappointing nonetheless.

Great to see a film of this quality with a runtime of around 90 mins. I’m looking at you, The Brutalist!

You mean just like now when there are Israeli hostages and no one gives a crap? Plus ca change.

@BooToYouHalloween Yes exactly. It's like living in another world and I feel like I'm losing my mind because if it were any other country I think images of the hostages would be everywhere. Every parent would have spent the last > 1 year praying and Facebook sharing and desperately hoping for the Bibas children amongst others. Horrific acts committed by and literally filmed by terrorists wouldn't have been denied or downplayed or defended.

Instead it's just silence from so many. Or worse it's "yes but.." as if it could ever be justified. I am not sure how taking innocent hostages - whether athletes or festival goers - can ever be justified no matter where you stand on the conflict.

The film really captured that indifference from the world perfectly. It was a very tough watch.

In the last few weeks, I have seen: The Brutalist, Conclave, A Real Pain and now September 5th.

I thought Sept 5th was the best film of the 4. It was pacy, focussed, the camera work was great it didn't lose sight of its aim, it wasn't self-indugent. Beautifully edited, and really didn't take a political side- simply a human side. It wasn't about actors and performances- which were all strong- it was about the events and the experience of a tv station showing terrorism live for the first time ever.
