Thoroughly enjoyed it. Touching and funny at the same time.

It wasn't quite what I expected, I went mostly because I like June Squibb.

It's not overall an excellent movienothing remotely notable about the cast, cinematography, dialogue, etc. But it's a wonderful depiction of ordinary life that doesn't show up much in movies: a caring concerned family that nevertheless badgers and bickers incessantly; the elderly being condescendingly coddled; the elderly being lonely; the elderly seeing their dead-end future. But it's often amusing and occasionally surprising. Best of all, it's very affectionate about the characters, not mocking the elderlyand even the bad guy gets a moment of sympathy. And it's genuinely sweet in the grandson's affection for the grandmother.

It's also a rarity in apparently being by a writer-director drawing on his own past very successfully, in contrast to movies like Minari, where the filmmaker is blind to the idea that his own family details aren't that exciting. So, overall very successful.
