I don't watch horror films, so I'm really not best placed to give an informed opinion - but I'm happy to share my uninformed opinion.

I really enjoyed it. It has quite a bit of humor. I thought the premise was really good, and I can imagine if it was real, the audience watching live would have been terrified.

I might have the wrong idea of horror - I am of the impression it's supposed to be scary, but I didn't think it was. I tend to avoid horror because I thought that was the point - but maybe it's not? Or maybe I'm just too aware of the fact it's a film to find it scary. I don't know. I'll be interested in seeing what people that do watch horror think of it.

I would definitely recommend it, but my recommendation, given my lack of experience in the genre, might not mean much 😆

This was my favourite film at the London Film Festival last year and I'm really glad it got distribution so I can see it again. I hail from the days of those cheesy Saturday evening talk shows and I thought David Dastmalchian was fantastic.

There is no 'supposed to be'; it's a parody/black comedy and some people might find some bits of it scary, but just because you (nor I, although I thought there were some cracking effects) didn't doesn't mean it's any the lesser for it.

Have you seen/do you remember Ghostwatch, by any chance? Now that was scary, back in the day. I think the BBC got something like 30000 complaints - I went to a 30th anniversary screening of it a couple of years ago and it was fab 😀

I wasn't trying to suggest the film was 'less than' because I didn't find it scary. The fact that I thought horror was supposed to be scary is what has meant I've only watched three in my life - one when I was fourteen, when a friend's older sister put it on, and two in the last month (the first of which was because someone else put it on, the second was this one, which is the only one I have actively chosen to watch). Fear is just not something I'm looking for when I want to be entertained. I'm really just curious as to whether it's a genre I should explore more, as I did enjoy this film.

I remember ghostwatch, but I didn't watch it. It certainly caused a bit of a furore at the time.
