Many questions for knowledgeable folk!

Anyone seen Saltburn and if so, is it worth seeing?

I'm billy no mates over Christmas so thought I could leave Wonka and Napoleon till after Christmas, do we think they'll still be on?

Thanks.

They're teens ! It's very sad

They're adults though, not children.

I mean they are someone's children, as in offspring, but so is everyone!

I’m sure you’re correct but they’re two kids who live at home to my mind. One is a uni fresher and one is younger. Both teens. Their parents and their traumatised reactions to their deaths feature quite heavily! The part when they talk about not realising the significance of your child’s middle name until you see it on their tombstone sent a little chill up my spine.

That was much less disturbing than the necrophilia scene for me though I should add! Which was also hilarious in its over the topness - as in lots of other parts. The film doesn’t take itself seriously and the whole thing is gorgeous to watch.

Saltburn is really good but exceptionally bleak and depressing. Stayed with me for a few days.

While it has moments of comedy, I would not describe it as a dark comedy by any means.

We were quite confused by it being described as a dark comedy. Dark, yes but apart from the occasional shriek at some of the scenes we didn't laugh. Loved it though, fab film.

Maestro is really good too.

Just finished watching Saltburn, really enjoyed it. The dance scene at the end was brilliant!

As someone who saw a lot of boarding school rich kids at uni, I thought it lacked Jack Wills! In 2006 it was a pretty niche public school brand.

Well, Christmas Day is always horrible for me

So I thought twice about watching Saltburn after some of the comments...but.....wow!

It's absolutely rescued my day. Brilliant film and the end scene was fantastic!

The end scene reminded me of Tom Cruise in Risky Business. I'm still thinking about the film today,I'll re watch it at some point.

I thought Rosamund Pike was sublime. Every line she uttered was wonderful. She's not an actress I generally like ( Thought she was wooden in the awful Gone Girl) but I utterly believed her character in this. The highlight was her interaction with Carey Mulligan, and descriptions of her behind her back.
She will do literally anything for attention 😄
Also both grieving parents were harrowing performances.
That said, the plot was a bit daft in places. I know the police were " lost in the maze" but really? No-one suspected anything?? Duncan must have known. And where was Farleigh in the end?
Overall I loved it though, and thought the end scene was wonderful.
