I really enjoyed this and was tearing up in several places. It wasn’t afraid to tackle issues pretty head on and all the themes covered were relevant and up to date. The ending was hopeful but cynically maybe a little unrealistic.

Just been to see this and went through a fair number of tissues.
I felt it was thought provoking- if a little relentless.

i watched it last night. Enjoyed the film but thought the ending spoilt it.

I really enjoyed it, but like PPS, thought the ending rather spoiled it.

It was filmed very local to me which resulted in me having great fun playing spot the street etc. Obviously that also means that the issues raised in the film are also very local to me. Loach did a good job I feel.

I saw it last night. Fantastic film. Ken Loach can do no wrong.!

@IrritatingNotHelpful I thought bits of the area looked like where Billy Elliott was filmed, but maybe mining villages look similar to an uneducated Londoner like me!

@Spidey66 Good spot! Parts of it were, with other parts filmed in two neighbouring villages Smile

Local to me too.

Just been tonight and really enjoyed it. It's very true. I can see people I know in so many of the characters.

I knew an extra 🙂 was quite a surprise.

I saw it at the BFI and there was a Q+A with Ken Loach, Paul Laverty and the three lead actors. A moving film, not as dark as Sorry We Missed You, and a very interesting Q+A afterwards.

What an amazing experience.

Someone I know who's a councillor saw it then they were given a Syrian meal after and chatted with Syrians.

I might go and see it again?
