Being quiet at cinema - not a thing any more?

Just back from cinema and had the misfortune to sit next to a family of 6 kids. Mum and grandma sat on the row behind and talked through the whole film whilst on their phone. The kids were wild and throwing good. I complained as well as some other families and we got our money back. Something similar happened last time we went too but with a bunch of teenagers. Is this the norm now?

I have to say the worst we’ve had for this was the first Downton film. Loads of older people discussing the plot loudly throughout 😤

Not normal

Sounds like the cinema is in v chavvy area

I was born and bred in what you would call a ‘chavvy area’, but my family and I wouldn’t dream of being inconsiderate of others when visiting the cinema, for instance .

I also work with the general public in a very ‘affluent area’, yet I’ve had the misfortune to come across many more selfish, ignorant and inconsiderate people living there …. Funny that …..

It was fine the last couple of times I went to the cinema but they weren't films that would attract very young children.

I cannot stand the cinema. Having to sit with strangers eating smelly food, making a noise, and the volume is always way too loud.
65 inch TV, comfy sofa, not completely legal movie site, and a bag of microwave popcorn...much better.
