Anyone planning to see this? Or has already seen it?

My friend saw it yesterday and said it was great and emotional.

I’m hoping to go today. 3 hours 10 mins long! Hoping I won’t need a wee during it.

Let’s discuss what we think about it

Loved it, seen it twice already. Have a bit of a Jake Sully crush.

No-one goes to a Jim Cameron film expecting to see the likes of The Piano. They go for the amazing special effects, big spectacle, explosions, the baddies getting their comeuppance, corny dialogue, and a bit of humour.

Avatar 2 is all that. It’s just reached $2bn at the box office, and likely to get to no.3 or 4. all time box office.

Can't wait for Avatar 3 , although I’ll have to as it’s not due til Dec 2024. Not sure about Cameron eeking out Avatar 4 and 5 but no-one thought Avatar 2 would be a success (or Titanic ) so I wouldn’t bet against the guy.

Brilliant filmmaker who we need along side the likes of Scorsese, Nolan, Spielberg etc.

Also interesting to see on the BBC news site today that the Avatar stop-motion technology is being used to help map the process of neurological disease.
