It’s an old one but Jumanji and the second one is also fun

Smithstreet · 19/02/2022 08:03

Red Notice on Netflix. We also watched all the Jumanjis and Jungle Cruise recently.

Rivermonsters · 19/02/2022 08:47

Rango

Mine are the same age and we have watched two very different films this week - The Princess Bride and Ghostbusters Afterlife. They enjoyed both but probably The Princess Bride more. All the Jumanji films have been popular, but especially the original one.I think the Jumanji ones were on Netflix and the others Amazon Prime.

DS loves all the Star Wars films. Indiana jones is next in the list. Ghostbusters. Marvel films. The Goonies.

BeetyAxe · 19/02/2022 09:44

Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, alll the ones mentioned above are popular here too

ApocalypseNowt · 19/02/2022 09:53

Mine loved all the original Indiana Jones films

Peabody25 · 19/02/2022 10:26

I've got an 8 year old DS but we've loved both cheaper by the dozen movies, yes day and school of rock.

Iron Giant gets a lot of love in this house, and sticking with the animated theme Coco is a lovely watch too.

My kids also like The Spiderwick Chronicles and the Narnia films

MaizeAmaze · 19/02/2022 10:53

DH got Encanto on a subscription somewhere, and even though it was young, both my 10 and 12 boys loved it.

ToniLaRoni · 19/02/2022 11:17

Jungle Cruise
Jurassic Park
Marcel movies

MrsSkylerWhite · 19/02/2022 11:18

The Mysterious Island.

MarianosOnHisWay · 19/02/2022 11:20

With the Winter Olympics being in at the moment, how about Cool Runnings?

ThisTownAintBigEnoughForBoth · 19/02/2022 12:28

Mine are similar ages and have enjoyed
The Sorcerer's Apprentice from 2010, a surprisingly fun fantasy adventure with Nicolas Cage as a wizard

All Stars, about kids trying to put on a dance show to save their youth club. It's a bit cheesy I guess but mine like the dancing and I like the positive messages and the great shots of London

School of Rock, a comedy about a renegade teacher at a posh school. Just to warn you there is a (short) bit about 'groupies' which uses the word 'sluts', and a joke about him having 'touched' the children (he means emotionally but the joke is the parents think he means he's molested the kids).

I don't know if your older one would find animated films a bit young? We like Kubo and the Two Strings and Rise of the Guardians.

We're also watching Yonderland atm (on Sky), it's a series rather than a film but we're finding it very funny, from the Horrible Histories team.
