DD age 12 is housebound after injuring herself :-(
Can you recommend a movie? Any classics out there?
(We've already seen Star Wars/ Harry Potter/ Jurasic Park but would love something different or classic)

"The Kid Who Would be King" is brilliant

Hello - my 12-y-o and I have done a few classics recently which she loved, a triple bill of Gentleman Prefer Blondes/Some Like It Hot/Singing in the Rain.

We also did a day of Jane Austen, so the films of Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility. She liked them so much that we also watched the entire TV series of P&P (the Colin Firth one) and she's now reading the book!

The Breakfast Club
Ferris Buellers day off
Don't tell Mom the babysitters dead

A bit eclectic but teenage/current me watched with mum and enjoyed
Mean Girls
50 First Dates
10 Things I hate about you
Mamma Mia
Stardust is so underrated as a just lovely movie.
Moulin Rouge if you're happy with the mention of prostitution
Sister Act
Les Mis
Hairspray
1990s Secret Garden/Little Princess
Not a vampire person but What We do in the Shadows was laugh out loud hilarious
Eurovision movie on Netflix is a sweet cheesy watch
A Star is Born was good but might be a little mature
New Little Women was excellent
Atonement also good but depends on maturity levels
Australia was surprisingly good as well
Enjoyed the new Emma as well

Some classic retro 12-ush films I love:
Clueless
10 things I hate about you
Legally Blonde
Get over it
Bring it on
Also second all the Pitch Perfect movies
