Has anyone seen it? Would they recommend it for a 3 year old who loves Nemo. Thanks.

Hi MissHoolie. My boys (5 and 7) saw it this weekend and both thought it was boring. As did their dad. And they loved Nemo and are not particularly harsh critics.

whizzz · 12/10/2004 19:08

YES ! Saw it on Saturday (free preview !). DS (4) loved it & is still talking about it. If anyone likes Nemo - they will like this. Its probably not quite as colourful as Nemo & some of the themes are a bit more adult (the shark being a vegetarian for example) BUT kids will love it too.

Took ds1 and ds2 (6 & 3) on Sunday. Ds1 really enjoyed it and laughed out loud a few times.
Dh & I enjoyed it too, lots of 70's/80's disco tracks and some great lines. Ds2 got fidgety towards the end but he was tired.

Great for adults & kids.

We went last Sat and I think I enjoyed it more that DD. Alot of it went way over her head but she laughed a lot so I guess she had a good time.

Oooohhh we going Saturday - DD and I love the cinema - DP uses it as an excuse to fall asleep whilst still be pretending to do family stuff!!

Kayleigh · 19/10/2004 16:00

I used it as an excuse to eat my childrens weight in pick 'n' mix

Twinkie · 19/10/2004 16:03

So you aren't back on the wagon then??

I am going to have a bag of Revels and a huge cup of sprite - yummy!! and maybe nick DDs popcorn too!!

Did you know that the new flavour in revels is raisin - thought it was going to be bloody exciting and munched through a whole bag and it was Raisin!!

Kayleigh · 19/10/2004 16:06

The wagon is so far gone it isn't even in sight any longer !

Do they still have the coffee one in Revels ? Hate coffee so never buy revels. But like that flatish round one that tastes like a Galaxy counter so would pinch that out of other peoples bags.

Yes, misshoolie, I'd recommend it for your 3-yr-old who loves Nemo. 3, 4 and 5 year olds won't notice that it's an inferior movie to Nemo, Shrek & other classics of that ilk. Certainly my nearly-5-year-old didn't notice. In fact, he wants to go AGAIN. But he'll have to find another adult to accompany him, I'm afraid.

expatkat · 19/10/2004 16:11

Sorry, Misshoolie, didn't see how old this thread was and that you've already seen it. Glad you enjoyed it.

MissHoolie · 19/10/2004 16:13

How disappointing is that, a raisin revel.

Oooohhh kayleigh coffee my fave - I hate the orange ones - what a waste of a flavour!!

DD likes the minstrel type ones best - as you can guess - she loved the bag you gave her and ate them without sharing on the way home on the train.

I took the dss (5 and 7) to see this today. I thought it was quite disappointing actually. Ds2 didn't completely follow all the plot lines, and was terrified by quite a lot of it ... nothing new there he's a sensitive little flower and was traumatised by Nemo too!
