Do you think it is or makes you look immature if you like watching some old Disney films occasionally?

Not at all.

I find a Disney film and a duvet day comforting.

Thanks. Just feeling a bit insecure I think. Like I watch it and then think, is this normal or do I just do this?! 😂

I watch studio ghibli films all the time. It's a way to switch off and have a bit of whimsy in a mundane adult life.
Don't feel insecure, lots of people do it :)

BooMare · 05/10/2018 06:39

Yes, I would judge someone for that.

IntensiveCareBear · 05/10/2018 06:44

BooMare you must have a very boring life if you have to fill it with judging people over their mundane film choices.

Have you ever considered a hobby? Knitting maybe?

ZanyMobster · 05/10/2018 12:04

How sad that someone would judge people for watching a Disney film. Maybe we should judge people who can't open their minds enough to appreciate people like different films.

OP - enjoy whatever you like to the full*
*within the remit of acceptable to society of course

I like the bigger Q though - does film preference reveal anything deeper about you?
I'm not sure it does with me. I've taught film on occasion. I loved The Royal Tennenbaums for being film perfection despite being about nothing; in a way Lost in Translation could never achieve (hate that film).
But then the other day, I watched Machete. Yes, I know it is ironic and tongue in cheek and self-aware, blah; I just loved it

Meh, I'm 53, I have a responsible job, am a subject expert in my field, have a degree and a post-grad, and I enjoy animated films, action films and read romances.

Animation is a massively underrated art form.
