Films about Paris - esp Amelie (unsuitable for kids?)

We are off to Paris with our kids (3,7 & 8) at the end of the month and I thought it would be fun to watch some films set in Paris with them see what they recognise when we go.

The first one which sprang to mind was Amelie. However when I looked it up on Amazon I discovered it was a 15. Now its ages since I watched it, can't really remember the story just remember that I really enjoyed it. So presumably with that classification its unsuiable for kids? Just wanted to check at Goonies is a 12 etc.

Any other good films I should look out for them. We did Madeleine at christmas so don't really want to get that again. My BIL suggested the pink panther films. Anything else?

Many thanks

There is a children's film called Madeline that is abouu a little girl who lives in an orphanage in Paris.

Amelie has few bits of sh*gging tbh - not suitable at all.

bobsmum · 03/04/2007 13:39

Moulin Rouge?

Y0rkshirelass · 03/04/2007 13:45

What about the Disney cartoon the Hunchback of Notre Dame?

themoon66 · 03/04/2007 13:46

Was going to suggest Madeline, but someone already did.

Definitely NOT Moulin Rouge, slap bang in the middle of the red light district!

I agree with hunchback of Notre Dame.

'The Red Balloon' which was made in about 1956 - it's in two halves on youtube actually - really very gorgeous short film all set in Paris.
What about that film with Fred Astaire - is it Gigi? I think that's in paris.
