we have on offer, Happy feet, meet the robinsons, flushed away, ant bully or jaems and the giant peach.
What do you reckon?
He's never been to the cinema before but watches tv- just cbeebies.
he has managed to sit thru toy story a couple of times at home too.

My dd is 3.5 she has seen flushed away and Happy feet - she enjoyed both but Happy feet much much more - she really enjoyed it. Would recomend it, flushed away is probably more suitable to older ones TBH.

mrsjohnsim · 26/03/2007 22:46

and will the accompanying adult enjoy it? more to the point!

depends if your a soppy devil or not! I'm ashamed to admit a shed a tear or two! But it was lively funny and I did enjoy it and I'm 37! The dancing was fantastic!

mrsjohnsim · 26/03/2007 22:58

hmm not too soppy here.
I usually enjoy a good 'nam film normally- you know, Apocalypse Now ...
am a tad worried about little kids' films , maybe we need to take some tablets first
do like toy story tho'

Happy feet is quite local tho' and can prob just have a little snooze

i didn't like happy feet but took ds (3.6) to see that and flushed away, i think he enjoyed happy feet more

mrsjohnsim · 27/03/2007 00:02

ok, it sounds like the dancing penguins maybe dh will take him and i can stay home with ds2 or go shoe shopping with him
now there is a thought

that sounds like a good plan

that way, if he gets on ok you can volunteer to take him to flushed away, which is a much more enjoyable film for the parents!

mrsjohnsim · 27/03/2007 00:05

i am a bit worried about modern kids' films tbh, nut heyho, i am sure ds1 will love the cinema more than the film.

i've taken ds several times, i think Cars was the first one he saw, and loved it! now he regularly asks to go and i have to explain that there are no films on he hasn't seen yet

mrsjohnsim · 27/03/2007 00:17

we have been waiting till we think he is old enough. And he seems to be ok with live shows and party entertainers etc.
and i think he needs a little bit of a grown up time with either his mum or dad, his brother is lovely, but it must be hard somedays to be with a 1.5yr old all the time when you are 3.5yrs old.
