I saw this and it made me wish all the previous X-Men film had been rated 15 or above as the previous ones were quite babyish.

That said it was all a little sad and depressing. Not sure how I feel about it.

I thought the violence was pretty savage but good in the context of the film. 15 was the min certificate it could have been IMO.

Yes HJ has said he is not doing any more. He couldn't have ended on a better note; it's amazing.

I thought some aspects felt a bit contrived - what did they think would happen if they stayed over at that family's farm? - I really enjoyed it and HJ is incredible.

trevortrevorslattery · 21/03/2017 11:05

YY I was surprised at them putting the family in mortal danger like that too

MrsJayy · 21/03/2017 11:42

You knew as soon as they pulled up at that farm they were in trouble. I thought Lauras violence was worse than wolverines she was brutal

Loved the movie although it moved away from the 'old man logan' comic books which is one of the grittiest x men story lines and one of the best comic stories imo... but I loved the movie as a separate thing and am another one that wishes more comic movies were 15/18s like Logan and dead pool. Marvel are doing well I thinkSmile

I was a wee bit sad HJ didn't get his bum out he usually does normally it is a highlight of xmen/origins films Grin

I sobbed at it, genuinely took me days to get over. It was beautifully done, HJ and PS were stellar.

MrsJayy · 21/03/2017 12:53

They really were brilliant in it proper acting.

DesertIslandPenguin · 21/03/2017 13:02

It was fabulous. I wept like a baby for the last third of the film. The director and Dafne (X/23) have both said that they'd like to do an X23 and the New Mutants film. Fingers crossed.

I saw Patrick stewart and Ian Mckellan in a play last year we were fortunate enough to be there the night they did a Q&A session i was like a teenager at a 1d concert Blush inwardly obviously

I'm going again this evening!

I feel like my best friend needs to see it but I can't in all conscience send here there without going to offer post-film emotional support Grin

I will make sure I take some hankies this time.
