What do you MEAN you haven't seen it?! In short:

When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth using games like PAC-MAN™, Donkey Kong™, Galaga™, Centipede® and Space Invaders™ as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

Ultimate 80s film for me is Working Girl. It really cemented the idea of the yuppy dream - for good and ill.

Best film of the 1980s OTOH also stars Big Sig: Aliens but it's not an "80s film" it's a brilliant film that happens to have been made in the 80s.

Ultimate angsty movie, practically defines teen-hood in the 80s.

My favourite is Some Kind of Wonderful. I do have a soft spot for Top Gun, but because I love the flight scenes, not the people bits.

Tempted as I a. To put Back in the Future, which IS an amazingly brilliant 80s film, i shall actually opt for BIG, with Tom Hanks. It showcases the 80s from what was cool from the perspective of a kid and also as an adult.

There are so many it's hard to choose. But I'm going for Clockwise. It's British, it's about the school system and it sums up life in the UK in the 1980s.

Otherwise it would have to be the Lost Boys. Just because.

E.T, was made the year I was born but I have watched it so many times, I just love sitting watching it and still cry even when it was on TV last weekend, watching it always makes feel like I am a child again.

For me it has to be stand by me. I grew up watching it and thought it was funny and cool as a young teenager. Watching now as a adult is a completely different experience, the way it explores death and loss through the eyes of a child is brilliant.

My favourite 1980s film was Tron. At the time, it was technologically brilliant and I loved it.

Back to the Future! SO much fun. I recently watched it with DS and he loved it! The second one where they go into the future (2015!) is hilarious. Their version of our "now" still has fax machines, for example.

Big - I'm an 80s child and like most children, at times wished I was an adult so loved watching this! Even now though, I can't walk past a giant floor keyboard without trying to play chopsticks!

For me it is a toss up between Working Girl and Breakfast club as my favourite.

I love the themes of the Breakfast club, that scene at the end when they realise that no matter how close they are on the Saturday, come Monday they will go back to not acknowledging each other at school because of what their friends would think.

As for Working Girl, it was the first Video I ever owned, brilliant film.

But then there is Ferris...the 80's the decade of fabulous films!
