We went to see this on Saturday evening. It was interesting and original and we both enjoyed it. Jim Carrey is now my new pin-up, honest! Its about people having part of their memory erased so that was my excuse for not remembering quite all of it as I fell asleep for about 20 mins! Not because the film was boring, I was just very tired and full of crispy duck Even though its a bit of a SciFi theme everything else is "ordinary", an unusual idea.....

It sounds good but will probably wait for the video. Charlie Kaufman's writing is always original to say the least. I think J Carrey is a good actor when he's not being too OTT. But I bet he was a nightmare child, his mother must have been worn out. Have been a little bit in love with him since The Truman Show.

Nice review, Custardo, succint and to the point.

Its written by the same bloke (Kaufman?) who wrote Being John Malkovitch and I could see the same style. I enjoyed it but I am also dying to see Van Helsing!

I enjoyed it actually, and I'm not really into weird sci-fi stuff. I thought it was a really interesting concept, and although it pains me to say it because I think he's one of the most annoying people on the planet, Jim Carrey was great in it.

We're off to see this tonight - quite late (for me) hope I manage to stay awake custardo!

DS1 was sent home from school at lunchtime poorly (BAD mother sending ill child to school), but I'm still abandoning him with the babysitter (BAD mother) because we've not been out in ages.

Roisin, did you go? What did you think? Jim Carrey's MINE from now on!

I did enjoy it, great acting, and I'm glad I went ... but it was seriously weird. At several points in the film dh and I looked at one another and giggled, to kind of say "what on earth is going on here?" What kind of a mind writes that sort of screenplay? Is it from a book btw?

I thought it was a fantastic film to see if you're having relationship problems. Makes you realise that the things that attracted you about the person in the beginning are still there underneath all that day-to-day irritating stuff. It really made me think.
I'll be seeing it again, and Jim Carrey was mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
