For me laugh wise is the Austin Powers, The Inbetweeners, American Pie and Little Nicky. Says a lot about my sense of humour! Cry wise I think the worst was Who will love my children, I watched it with my Mum and sisters and we were all howling. Scared wise it was Jaws when I was a child I was petrified that a shark would come up the plug hole in the bath or up the toilet it gave me nightmares for ages. As an adult I tend to avoid horrors but I did watch I am Legend which was pretty scary.

Laugh - The Inbetweeners, Home Alone

Scary- Don't know if you would count it as a film or not, but Threads still gives me nightmares from time to time

Cry- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I bawled my eyes out in the cinema. And the Truman Show maybe Jim Carrey's presence just makes me cry.

Films that made me laugh When it was first out meet the parents. Team america, white chicks and hot tub time machine

Titanic makes me cry everytime and the notebook I also love the shawshank redemption.

The human centerpede is a film I wish id never seen it still haunts me. The lovely bones has never left me either and the wickerman as its bizzare.

The Shining was very scary, I couldn't sleep after it.

swingonastar · 23/02/2015 22:26

For laughs - Bridesmaids and Office Space

Made me cry - My Sister's Keeper

Scary - American History X

Haggischucker · 23/02/2015 22:27

Laugh - cool runnings, home alone, hangover
Cry - anything and everything but felt drained after brave heart, Up (first 10 mins) and titanic
Scare - don't do scary films at all but the ones that shat me up were the road, event horizon and sunshine (as reminded me of event horizon - walked out)

vladthedisorganised · 23/02/2015 22:29

Cry - YY to The Fox and the Hound, Dumbo, Whale Rider, How To Train Your Dragon 2, Devdas, The Doll Maker, Rabbit Proof Fence, Barney's Version, Life is Beautiful, Underground

Laugh - American Splendor, My Life as a Dog (the Danish one not the crappy US one), When Harry met Sally, Little Miss Sunshine, Black Cat White Cat, Before Midnight

Scared - Nosferatu is the only 'horror' I actually like which is also pretty scary. I normally find horror films gross rather than scary. Most Hitchcock classics are pretty edge-of-the-seat scary in places.

MamaMary · 23/02/2015 22:34

Laugh: Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Tootsie, Four weddings & a funeral...

Cry: Schindler's List, The Pianist

Scared: Psycho first time I saw it. Don't watch scary films really. Have seen Silence of the Lambs and the Exorcist but wasn't really scared Confused

Laugh until I cry, every single time: Hot Chick, especially when he stubs his toe. I had to scream with laughter into a pillow, I am surprised DH married me after watching my reaction tbh.
Cry: Homeward Bound, cannot watch it as it breaks my heart, I end up thinking about all the animals out there who're lost etc. UP - the lovely old man and his wife. My DH cries at Monsters Inc when 'Boo' goes home :p
Scary: Poltergeist. I live and love for horror films but I had a nightmare where an evil dead poltergeist guy was singing 'God is in his Holy temple' and then said my name, eurgh.

mamapain · 24/02/2015 00:11

The films I haven't cried at is probably a shorter list. I watched Little Women for the first time at Christmas and I cried so hard I actually wet myself slightly. Also talking of Christmas, The Family Stone is very weepy for me and Jack Frost.

Scary- Lots of films make me jump but scared would probably have to be The Lovely Bones or Little Children. Something which actually cuts to my true fears.

Laughs- Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion, StepBrothers, We're The Millers, The Inbetweeners, Superbad, Knocked Up.

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 24/02/2015 10:09

Cry at: The Help and Never let me go

Laugh at: This is the end (Seth Rogen generally) and Bridesmaids

Scared of: WWZ and Any film with children in peril....Panormal Activity, Insidious etc..

EatShit I watched that very clip on a recent Buzzfeed article. Horrible!

MummyPig24 · 24/02/2015 10:12

Laugh- The Hangover.

Cry- A Little Princess.

Scared- The Ring.
