Trains planes and automobiles. John Candy pretending his dead wife was waiting for him at home> I sob every time.

Billy Elliot: when Billy's dad crosses the picket line (sob!) and right at the end when he sees grown-up Billy on stage (howl!)

Brokeback Mountain: WHEN ENNIS FINDS JACK'S SHIRT (flood!)

Shadowlands I can never watch again after sobbing for three hours afterwards

oh and Jean de Florette and Life is Beautiful and Cinema Paradiso and (gulp) Etre et Avoir

and the adaptation of Persuasion with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds when they finally get it together (wail)

"The Story of Us" - I cry everytime towards the end, at the bit where Bruce Willis says he saw himself through his wifes eyes, and the end speech where Michelle convinces Bruce to stay together.

"Titanic" (only the bit where she gets on the first lifeboat and jumps off, and also when a man says to his two kids 'its goodbye only for a little while') and "Stepmom" (the bit in the restaurant where they talk about what could happen on the daughters wedding day)

Not films, but I cry at the episode of Friends when Rachel finds out she's pregnant (the bit where Pheobe lies to her and says she isn't, and Rachel says 'how can you miss something you never had'), and I always always always cry at the second to last episode of Sex and The City, where Marinda tells Big to go get Carrie. I sobbed my heart out to that and my DH spent ages just patting my hand as I got so emotional (it was a week before our wedding!) and even now I cry at that episode.

I did Theatre Studies as an A Level and it involved seeing a number of plays over the two years. The last one we went to see was The Deep Blue Sea and I cried nearly all the way through it, it's bad enough crying but in front of my teachers and ten other students!!

I find that if something makes me cry the first time around, I often cant watch it again without crying.

My list is endless, I am a complete blubberer and my bf always takes the p**s out of me because I SOB at ET - esp the part where they find him in the stream and he's so grey.....

Jack and Sarah, always has me sobbing.

Also, the first part of Up! And the last bit in Toy Story 3, when he is playing with his toys and that little girl.

Land before time was pretty emotional too... Think I watched this when I just found out about expecting DD. sobbed most of the way through an animated film I must have seen a dozen times prior to this.

ER is pretty emotional, especially the start of the 15th season. Cried so hard DH had to hug/soothe me. I still can't watch it without sobbing so hard. I've been following the series since my late teens and I bought the box sets when on Maternity Leave with DD, nearly 2 years ago. DH thinks it's hilarious how emotional I get over it.

vladthedisorganised · 18/04/2013 20:32

Whale Rider. Even DH cried.
Yy to ET and Up.
Into the (sob) Wild
