Aw she is so cute like a little person If I'd taken ds to the cinema at 1 it would have been a nightmare She is probably really grown up because of your circumstances She probably senses things like that

misdee · 10/02/2006 21:11

she was trying to grab the screen. then she had a feed and fell asleep.

We went to see it today. I enjoyed it, DS 4 (today) was bit scared by the Aliens. It was fun though.

Hulababy · 10/02/2006 21:13

Took DD today, she is 3y10m. It was her first trip to the cinema.

She did enjoy it but found it a bit emotional. She cried when she found out he had no mummy, when daddy was mean to him, when the baby was lost.... But she also laughed and sang along too.

Agree that the parts of it are a little scray at times - DD sat on my kneee. tink these things are emphasised much more in the cinema.

misdee · 10/02/2006 21:15

halfway through, dd1 said she didnt want it on dvd as it scared her, by the end she said she'd like it on dvd afterall lol.

LOL misdee - DD was the same. Scared int he middle by the aliens, happy and enjoying it at the end. She says she wants to see it again with grandad!

Auntymandy · 11/02/2006 08:32

my Ds is going to see it today with his friends

anteater · 12/02/2006 00:04

This is one of the most pointless kids film I have ever seen, 1 out of 10

Marina · 15/02/2006 14:04

Impressed with Serena's cinemagoing! Dd definitely stayed at home for our trip.
Ds, who is six, liked it, especially the aliens in their fierce metal pods, but I'm with anteater I'm afraid - I thought it was dire and typical of Disney's cynically poor form lately.
Thought the important theme of disappointing parental expectations was handly extremely upsettingly by a hamfisted, crass script

Enid · 15/02/2006 14:05

no mummy!

well there you go yet another positive disney maternal role model

god they are shit

Kayleigh · 15/02/2006 14:06

Took ds1 and ds2 (7 and 4) to see it on Monday. They enjoyed it. I found it watchable but no way would I sit through it again the way I can with Shrek and Toy Story.

popsycalindisguise · 15/02/2006 14:07

ds1 (3 and a half) loved it!

Nbg · 15/02/2006 14:08

Oh no!

I don't wether to take dd now!

I was going to go next week after half term and it will be her first trip the the cinema.

She does go wild when the adverts come on though.

clerkKent · 16/02/2006 13:23

DS (12) is going to see it with a friend today. I have no idea why!

DominiConnor · 05/03/2006 20:05

I'm with Kayleigh, 2 & 5 yo boys loved it, but less to it than Shrek.

ScummyMummy · 05/03/2006 20:11

There is a finalist on American Idol who is a dead ringer for Chicken Little (v shite film but kids liked it.)

Furball · 05/03/2006 20:15

I too thought it was dire, DS(4) seemed to enjoy it, but had no idea what the heck the story was. Even when I tried to tell dh later what the 'storyline' was it made me sound as if I was hallucinating!

GeorginaA · 05/03/2006 20:18

Ds1 (5 in May) hated it - was terrified throughout. Half way through he was sitting on my lap sobbing his heart out saying "please mummy, can we go home. I want to go home." - we left at that point.

Mild peril my arse - was much scarier and for a longer duration than Finding Nemo. Should have been a PG.

0 out of 10.

colditz · 05/03/2006 20:21

It is bloody awful, needless to say ds loves it, and has insisted the only pants he will wear are Chicken Little pants, which I duly bought (£6 for 5 pairs![angry}) only to have him refuse to wear them because "They'll get wet, mummy!"

Gerrrrr, futile insistant nappy-wearing-from-perfectly-capable-nearly-3-year-ol-d rant!

7up · 05/03/2006 20:50

loved it so did my ds 11years. love the fat piggy in it, had me in stitchesBlush

jambuttie · 05/03/2006 20:58

awww took ds1 (4) to see it today and he loved it.

he cried at the end when he asked for it to go on again- he thought it was like using a dvd player at home bless him

DominiConnor · 05/03/2006 21:07

I'm with Kayleigh, 2 & 5 yo boys loved it, but less to it than Shrek.

MrsWood · 21/03/2006 12:34

We took our 2.8 y.o. dd - her first big screen experience. She loved it, laughed etc - until she finished popcorns when she announced she wanted to go home... We couldn't keep her there and for the respect to other viewers, we left. On the way out, she was telling everyone still watching the film "this was great! I really enjoyed it" - as if the film had finished. That was all 15 mins. after it started. All the people in cinema laughed at her enthusiasm on the way out... LOL. She still talks about it and tells everyone what a good time she had etc. So funny.
At home she sits through most kids films - at least an hour. But that day she was fidgeting and really couldn't sit through it... We'll have to get it on DVD I think :)
Was gonna take her to see Ice Age 2 in April as she watched first one to death - sometimes twice in a row, so I wonder if she'd sit through that one - familiar characters etc.... maybe keeps her intersted for longer, we'll see...
