Anyone been to see Tintin? Is it any good?

Dc are 6 and 8 yrs. I thought the trailer looked a bit odd tbh but it has good reviews (from film critics haven't heard any children's/parents review yet).

Let me know what you thought

DH took the DS's (6 & 8) yesterday afternoon. The kids loved it and DH said it was a lot better than he was expecting!

Ooh, I really wanted to go and see it this pm, but can't justify spending £45 (plus popcorn!).

Anyone know if it will be out on DVD in time for Christmas?

We watched it in 2D too, as I have an aversion to 3D. It was brilliant, better than we imagined. I would even consider seing it again.

There is only the option of 3D near me! (hence the price) and my DC don't even keep the glasses on!

Fantastic. Dh & I loved it. Didn't take the older Dds as we went to baby screening . Dd3 loved snowy though.

Animation was fantastic, loads of nods to Tintin books. Dh said Herge was in it.

Setting up for more hopefully but they better start filming now as it took a few years this time!

DD2-9 saw it yesterday and loved it.

Fantastic! Off to book tickets now (2d here too, partly because of £££ but also DS finds the glasses a bit uncomfortable). Will add my review when we've been!

DS (nearly 8) and H saw it recently and both enjoyed it. Just asked DS who said it was "good" .

I took DS, 7, during half term - was worried it would be a bit old for him as he is very young in his behaviour and likes but he loved it and I was impressed too. We saw it in 3D and it was great animation and effects. I worried the scenes of characters in danger would be too tense for DS as he's rather sensitive and starts to really panic for the characters but he was as gripped to the story as I was.

DS has been asking to go again!

We didn't bother with the 3D as it gives us all a headache and its stupid ££££ too!

I went with the DCs (7 and 9) and we did 2D because I can't stand 3D. The DCs loved it and it was very well done. Not my cup of tea really and I started reading my Kindle after about 30 mins.

We're back and we all enjoyed it, it did have a set up for sequel ending which is annoying though

I liked it, though it did go on a bit. More importantly though ds, aged 8, was utterly gripped by it, which is unusual for him.

On the whole it was good, the dog was the best. I want him!
