Just booked for 7pm on 19th nov!! How excited am i?!!! Grin

shimmerysilverghosty · 28/10/2010 15:43

I am excited but don't bother booking, live in London and there is always availability here, my local vue is literally 5 minutes walk away.

Remember living in Nottingham and when new blockbusters came out you couldn't get in for weeks and then when you did get in every seat was full.

It is actually one of the things that puts me off moving out of London, quite far down the list but still.....

bruffin · 08/11/2010 09:56

I think we are going on the 19th. We tried to get imax tickets but nothing until december.

Jux · 08/11/2010 10:32

We're going on 19th. DH will not be joining us Grin

TBH I think the films are pretty bad and the acting is fairly dreadful. The books are much better, but the last book is crap imo, so the film might be an improvement.

Punkatheart · 14/11/2010 21:46

Not dull - actually very exciting. But dark - so be prepared that it really is NOT for very young children. Saw it on Thursday and liked it the most of all the films....visual effects are astounding. There will be no time to be bored....

needtogetalife · 14/11/2010 21:51

wow emabarassing thing today, for some reason I thought it started on Fri just gone and turned up at cinema today to see it, tickets in hand up to man only to be told I was 1 week early!!! Blush have no idea what was going on in my head Blush
especially considering I knew today was rememberance sunday and it was the 14th!!

potplant · 15/11/2010 11:16

Punkatheart - wow you've seen it already!

When you say not for your children, How young? My DS is 7 and loves all things HP. Has seen all the other films. We've read all the books except DH. Is is violent scary, sad scary?

Punkatheart · 15/11/2010 11:43

It's sad...there is some element of violence (girl kept captive horribly by Voldemort and then she suffers a revolting fate, for example)..but there is a lot of sadness and references to dead parents. Some jumpy bits involving a snake. One little girl who was probably about seven was crying in the cinema. It really depends on the child but this is much more adult fare. Approach with caution with the smaller ones. I personally would not have taken my seven year old to this one....

Maybe you see it first? An excuse to see twice!

c0rns1lk · 15/11/2010 11:44

he is in it

Punkatheart · 15/11/2010 12:06

Now THAT scared me! Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2010 12:49

I'm going on Monday. Very excited.

nymphadora · 19/11/2010 12:59

Parent & baby screening on thursGrin

pourmeanotherglass · 19/11/2010 13:04

Is it suitable for an 8 year old who has read all the books and seen the other films on DVD?
We've not taken her to any of the others at the cinema beacause we only read the last 3 books this summer. Am i correct in thinking its OK for younger children to see a 12a certificate if they go with a parent?

Punkatheart · 19/11/2010 17:40

Yes legally a 12a means that an adult has to accompany the child at all times - but the guidance is that it is not suitable for under twelves. This film is quite bleak (although it does have the usual comedic element - often from Ron) and there is quite a lot of violence, sadism and death - including one loved character.

It really does depend on the child but no, I would not have taken my little girl when she was eight. Luckily she has grown up on the films and as they have got darker, she has aged too.

Punkatheart · 19/11/2010 17:40

Actually two characters dies but one is off screen.

SandyisinCaldwell · 19/11/2010 22:03

I've just got back and I thought it was AMAZING Grin

BelligerentGhoul · 19/11/2010 22:05

Am going in the morning (hopefully before anybody else gets up!).

SandyisinCaldwell · 19/11/2010 22:06

There were loads of kids in and they didn't make a sound for the full 146mins! I couldn't believe it.

pointydog · 19/11/2010 22:20

We'll go but probly not till nexct weekend to avoid the big queues. We like the potter films. Can't be doing with the books.

coolascucumber · 19/11/2010 22:28

Went this afternoon at our tiny little cinema, £3 a ticket. Film very good but scary for younger children.

BelligerentGhoul · 20/11/2010 17:53

We went to the 9.30 am showing for just 3 pounds each. It was great - but I cried and cried!

The dds are there now.
