Good old reassuring Marmite is now covered in the LGBTQ+ flag. Ostensibly for Elton John’s aids foundation, but just ..really?
I actually feel ill when I see that flag now. To me it’s stands for aggressive, misogynistic men who get off wearing dresses.
And people like Helen Webber,ey who want to chemicalise people like my daughter.
just saying.

why “ostensibly”? Not like EJ is not a massive superstar and to be associated with him is only going to increase your presence in the market

I'd have thought Marmite know their market very well by now. It's not exactly a saturated market.

Yes

and this just builds on their public awareness

to be associated with EJ is a big deal for any company

Maybe I’m over sensitive. To me it’s one more way of getting that flag in front of us, after all the more it’s seen, the more normalized it is, the more trans identifying men become normal when they are in women’s spaces etc.

For me it’s just about EJ’s aids foundation and for that reason - I’m all for it

A pic of Elton John 😍 would do the trick surely.

The striking new jar design is inspired by the much-loved 1983 hit ‘I’m Still Standing’, written & performed by Sir Elton John. The music video, shot in France’s Côte d'Azur, was directed by Russell Mulcahy & choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing legend Arlene Phillips. Dancers along a beach promenade capture the song’s positive spirit, with the message of resilience and self-acceptance highlighted throughout the lyrics.

watch the video that inspires the design. Its dancers dressed in each of these colours

I like it, it's a good charity and the design is great.
