How are you women getting away with this???

Just joined after getting booted off a different forum site repeatedly for politely stating various facts and statistics. Facts like the 2022 Ministry of Justice data, showing that men who 'identify as female' are three times more likely to have been imprisoned for assaulting women and girls. You guys are allowed to criticise this stuff publicly? It's amazing!

There was a period of time where we had to tiptoe around facts under threat of being banned. There was a ‘3 strikes and you’re out’ system, which meant our current level of free speech was somewhat curtailed. We have been targetted, doxxed and baited for screenshots for them to share over on reddit or wherever they hang out.

Fortunately the brave women of MN - owners and posters - have held fast, ridden the waves and come out the other side free to state such controversial ‘opinions’ as “women don’t have penises”.

arethereanyleftatall · 16/05/2025 23:52

This site and Twitter are the only sites truth is allowed.
any time I’ve detailed the prison stats, or anything supporting women’s rights on tiktok, my ‘comment has been removed for violating community guidelines’

Kendodd · 16/05/2025 20:06

And does that mean their crimes are recorded as having been committed by a woman?

Depends on the police force who investigated the crime and when the accused claimed the special gender identity

Renabrook · 17/05/2025 02:31

'You women'?

colourmystic · 16/05/2025 23:24

Which is why we're so pissed off. We weren't safe when we HAD single sex spaces, but to really keep us anxious, now we don't even have a ladies loo to go to. Just ranting.

Please come any join us on the dark side (there's a handy cliicky link at the top of this thread) on the feminism: sex and gender board you will find many intelligent women and a few trans identifying males fighting this war all newcomers are welcome

GarlicPile · 17/05/2025 03:30

RainbowSlimeLab · 16/05/2025 18:37

So technically we’re safer sharing our spaces with men than we are sharing them with trans women…

... who ARE men!

As the saying goes, "Good men stay out so bad men stand out". And some really like to stand out.

PetaltotheMedal · 17/05/2025 08:00

Thank you @Cucy for your explanation. It must be a hard enough job but having to deal with the increased tension from the inmates and your own frustration at the pandering - hats off to you.

Umm…. Hate to break it to you but transwomen are men.

I quite agree. Am just bemused by the idea of saying we’ll share with men and TW can have their own spaces. I can imagine the outrage. But they don’t want to share with (other) men as they feel vulnerable, and we’re seemingly safer with men, so that kills two birds with one stone…

(I am not stupid. I know the arguments of not sharing with men. I simply find the above an amusing thought experiment.)

Kendodd · 16/05/2025 20:06

In many cases, yes. This is well established as skewing the data, and it's a huge issue. I recall a newspaper article from about a year ago stating that certain female crime rates have risen sharply. They haven't; this rise is nothing more or less than men's crimes being recorded as women's. The hashtag NotOurCrimes was applied to instances of men claiming female identity after being convicted.

Thank you - I wanted to post there, but I couldn't quite figure it out. I'll try again. I've been working this issue on and off for two years, and in 2023 I authored a 200-page report on sex and gender in schools which to date has been sent to around three thousand schools in my country.

This always gets me. It's as though trans identifying men almost notice that men are quite dangerous. The irony.

Hi 👋, can I ask which country? It might be useful to say as there are some of us from NZ and Australia lurking in here who might be able to find each other through MN. Check out some of the other threads. This place is wonderful. Respite from the mad Gilead atmospheres we all find ourselves in as soon as we open a newspaper, especially in the colonies.

Than other men.
And it's five times more likely actually.
https://sex-matters.org/posts/updates/what-did-we-learn-from-the-census/

Thanks for posting this, it makes for a fascinating read. Sorry to be pernickity but the data shows that Trans Women are at least five times more likely to commit sexual offences than non-trans men. It doesn’t specify what the offences are or who the victims are. Meaning that the offences could be towards males, or viewing child sexual content. According to the article this number could actually be much higher as there are some discrepancies in reporting of being trans in the 2021 census, most probably due to how the questions were phrased, which means that the number of TiM/trans women may be smaller and thus the ratio of sexual offenders to non/sexual offenders may be even higher. The analysis also showed (using the five times data) that TiM sexual offending rates are 522 times higher than that of women! (and this could be higher too, after TiM data corrections).

Either way these are terrifying statistics. Thanks so much for sharing this. My mind is blown.

This is an example of the irrefutable statistics that REALLY needs to be publicised as much as possible. I mean this is one of the ones that we could all print into stickers, and slap everywhere we go. I've heard more than once that sticker campaigns have no effect but I'm not sure I agree - if it's condensed accurately down to one bullet point and cited by source and year, if it can be read at a quick glance and understood, I think it can have SOME effect. It's such an inexpensive action (most people can buy a sheet of plain label stickers) that there's no real argument against it.

Every time I've brought this bad boy out in an online argument, it either stops, or they just accuse me of lying, because a quick google search is too hard.

Over here, people got the police at their door for stickering, would it be be ok in Australia?

UK? We did guerrilla stickering 😎 Nobody suspects (or notices) an averagely dowdy middle-aged woman. I got shouted at a few times while leafleting, but i figured that meant they'd at least read it, so worth the strain on my patience.

myplace · 18/05/2025 19:11

@GarlicPile a woman in Newport was arrested for stickering and kept late into the night before being released with her mobility scooter now on very low charge and no way of getting home.

I think she eventually got an apology. Others have had their houses searched and stickers confiscated.

It’s been beyond mad.

I go to loads of hospital appointments and I put a sticker in the toilets every single time. I am particularly dowdy and nondescript.

murasaki · 18/05/2025 19:44

Yes, some people have got away with it, and good, but some have been doorstepped by the rozzers. I was wondering how it would work in Australia.

I'm happy to confirm that Jennifer Swayne got an apology and £1,000 from Gwent Police. She and her supporters did a fantastic job of raising awareness in South Wales 💚🤍💜

It's probably mildly illegal, I haven't checked. They'd Have to catch you doing it though and without any prior convictions, I assume police would go Tsk Tsk Stop That and then get on with more important stuff.
