Do any solicitors do ongoing pro bono work in DV situations where property involved?

How does a woman wanting to leave a domestic violence situation get legal and financial advice when she doesn't qualify for legal aid and seems to be living a good life - jointly owned home, nice things yet has no control, money etc to get away or pay for advice.

Do any solicitors, financial advisors etc do in depth pro bono work, more than just an initial chat to get what entitled to - house, money etc?

DV and financial abuse may mean you do qualify for legal aid despite not meeting the usual income criteria: https://www.gov.uk/legal-aid/domestic-abuse-or-violence

Hi op I would call womens aid for advice and open my own secret bank account and start selling things to fill it up.
at the last minute even your car could be sold.
It sounds like you're being financially abused if you have no access to cash.

And gather as much info as you can about your husbands bank accounts assets etc

If not pro bono, many will probably accept payment after you get the divorce settlement as it looks as if that should bee a good amount.

Rights of Women may be able to help.

Try Rights of Women for advice. Citizens Advice sometimes have solicitors and there are also law clinics.

Are these divorce proceedings?. In the right circumstances I believe you could ask the court to make an interim order that your spouse contributes to you legal costs.
