Anyone else a member of the triply excluded generation of women due to age?...
First I fall in the WASPI category due to my retirement age being moved from 60 to 67 when I was born in the 1950s. I am still waiting for the Government to send me the compensation suggested by the Ombudsmen.
Next, I was one of those who, in a Local Government Pension scheme, was of the wrong age so my final salary pension plan was suddenly turned into a career average scheme - but then there was an appeal by some firefighting union and now I will probably get a slightly enhanced pension next April due to that appeal for which I will be grateful but I still need to be alive by then...
And now, I find I fall between the two stools of eligibility for a shingles vaccine... I'm over 65 but under 70...
So, I ask the question, why are women of my particular age group under the radar so much that no one seems to really care or consider us? Are we too young to be the Grannies of politicians but too old to be their mothers?
