Another reason for single sex toilets.

Yesterday evening in a unisex toilet my DD was holding the door of the cubicle her boyfriend was using.

She felt something on her side and turned round to see 3 lads with their dicks in hand, pissing up and down her body. She tried to push them away but they carried on, laughing.

She reported it to a bouncer but he somehow managed to blame her and then squared up to her when she refused to go back inside to identify the perpetrators.

Nice.

She doesn’t want me to get involved but I think I’ll phone the venue.

damn right

Wordsworse · 13/05/2024 20:25

I’m stuggling to understand the exact chain of events as we’ve only talked on the phone.

I’m disappointed that her boyfriend didn’t beat seven bales of shit out of them.

what good would that have done? Why didn't the boyfriend call the police? That is what he should have done

Wordsworse · 13/05/2024 21:17

Aye right.

I’m just imagining the scenario.

Sadly I’m coming to accept it’s a dog eat dog world out there.

She needs to report it to the police. If there are no consequences they will continue to commit these kinds of assaults. The DJ had done it many times before.

That's antisocial behaviour not a unisex toilet issue! There are plenty of incidents of lad in the ladies toilets too. The club did need her to identify them though. Write to the management, they will be in a better position than the bouncer, CCTV may be able to identify them

A bunch or boys are pissing on a girl in the unisex toilet is a unisex problem.

It wouldn’t have happened if she was in a females only toilet.

No, what he should have done is support his girlfriend in recovering from, and processing, what happened to her. And if he's doing that, he's doing plenty.

If she doesn't want to report it, that's her right – him playing 'white knight' in lamping them or reporting to the police against her wishes is just making the event about him and his needs, not being with her in hers.

Oh come off it. You’re also on my girls school thread fighting for boys rights to degrade their education so I think you have an axe to grind. Are you a man?

Quite. That poor girl 🥺

Greengablesfables · 18/05/2024 21:57

@Wordsworse
I’m so sorry that happened to your daughter 🥺.

Wordsworse · 18/05/2024 22:26

Thanks. She’s decided she doesn’t want to pursue it. Just put it down to experience.

We are currently on holiday in a cottage in a small coastal village. Banging on the door. I answered. Five lads early 20s lurking around the alleyway. Not one would admit to having banged on the door. Why?

I am sure I will get flamed for this, but it really does need reporting.

I agree because it could become a widespread competitive game if not dealt with. If arrested they wouldn't find it funny having to face their parents and neighbours.with what they have done. They could be sent to a young offenders for a short time to be toilet trained.

urbanbuddha · 22/06/2024 02:28

I agree it’s difficult but she really should report it to the police. That might stop them from doing it again to somebody else. Putting it down to experience means each time she remembers it she remembers only her humiliation.

It’s unlikely the police will ignore it.

I can't believe this. The bouncer was just a macho trying to protect what he considers to be normal. It is totally unacceptable.

Was it a unisex toilet? She wouldn't be the first woman not respecting men's spaces in a club. Perhaps they took offence and it would explain why the bouncer victim blamed her.

It literally says in the first sentence of the OP that it was a unisex toilet. Hmm

Walkden · 22/06/2024 17:08

Because her daughter told her that's what it was. Is it possible that knowing her mum has GC and thinks single sex spaces should be respected she said it was unisex rather than the men's?

If a man was stood outside a cubicle while a woman was inside, people noticing that would assume he was sone kind of pervert...

If he'd done that he'd be up for assault and they'd probably be the innocent parties.

PyramidsOfMarsBar · 22/06/2024 18:53

Good idea. But get everything in writing as well, for example sending a follow-up email straight away and asking them for a written acknowledgement. Phone for expedience and written for a record.

Agree about the keeping of the CCTV, and bouncers have licensing schemes which they need to adhere to and shaming a woman who has just been attacked is not within their rules (obviously) - they probably had a whole raft of things they should have done immediately which they presumably haven't done.

How old is your daughter? Is she over 18?

Horrid but tbh I'm not surprised. I've given up finding "reasons" for single-sex toilets. We NEED our own spaces, but PARTICULARLY for using the toilet.
