Can you guess?

Gynae. 🙄

I'm left curious as to if this is the case nationally. 🤔 Does anyone know?

I'm not sure how they're looking in my area for urgent wait times. The gynae list I'm on is non urgent and it's around 12-18 months. I'm currently at about 13 months of waiting. Fair enough it's not life threatening but a prolapse isn't exactly lovely to live with. 😔 And that's just to be seen and examined. I know I'll need surgery (had the same issue and surgery about 13 years ago so I know the drill) and god knows how long then wait will be for that. Only plus is the longer I wait, the older my youngest will be by the time I have the op I guess..

That's actually quite short.

Locally it's about 10 months for Gastro.

Neurology is about 20 months

Gynae about 4 months

None of these wait times are acceptable in a western capitalist country.

Benenden would cover this, it's around ten pounds a month if you look online. You need to be with them 6 months before though.

That 2 week rule is that for any suspected cancer or mainly breast / bowel?

What about urgent cardiology I wonder

Urgent cardiology also works to a 2 week rule HOWEVER all “ two week “ clinics are generally either satisfying that by a phone call to send you to a test ( with a further wait ) or just running over time here.

the longest wait everywhere is I guess ASD/ADHD especially adults. And gender clinics …..
