Do you think there will ever be a time where women are valued just as human beings in their own right?

And not as someone’s daughter, wife, mother, sister etc?

So ofthen news and also in feminist circles women often only seem to have worth as long as they are connected to someone, preferably to a man/children?

I don't recognise your description of feminists only giving women worth if they are connected to a man and/or children. The absolute opposite in fact.

General society has a tendency to, no doubt. It's part of our history, with women in the past being treated similar to children and not existing in society (generally) unless connected to their father, husband, sons, or other male relatives. We're only just over a century after women were begrudgingly given the vote, and less since women could keep working once married, have their own bank account/credit card, etc etc.

It is better than it has been but still not good enough. I'm personally fortunate that I don't feel that I would be treated differently in work or social life depending on my relationship status or whether or not I have children.

Yes ^This good post.

I think we are at least one to two generations off this.

My parents definitely do not recognise women as full human beings in their own right and my parents large families and friends would mostly be the same.

It is better but not fully there in my generation and hopefully will improve again for our daughters. However I see a big push on in some quarters to change things back again, the Andrew Tates, the incels, Jordan Peterson etc would really struggle to see women as full human beings.

Michelle Yeoh just made a speech saying “Ladies, don’t let anyone tell you you’re past your prime.” I assume she’s run up against men who think she’s of no further interest to the world because they personally don’t want to fuck her.
It’s beyond depressing.

Is there ever going to be a time where women are seen as full human beings by men? Nope.
