He is such a great advocate for women.
He is totally telling our truth.
And nobody on the program is challenging him.
He understands it all.
What a way to stand up!

Didn't he write a Father Ted the Musical too? Apparently it won't see the light of day no theatre wants anything to do with it because of his views. Like I said, not everyone will interpret his views as "championing women's rights".

dontjudgemeagain · 26/01/2023 19:23

Glinner's a garden-variety misogynist and it is a shame to see so many well-regarded feminists talk about him like he isn't.

Someone's upset that with the fiasco in Scotland the era of " No debate" is well and truly over. Miaow!

@MargaritaPie why do you hang around the Feminism boards when you hate women (the real ones) so much? I mean it's top quality entertainment for me but it must take up so much of your time and energy.

I couldn't imagine constantly posting on the pet pages constantly if I hated animals...

This is a pathetic tactic, accusing people who don’t agree with you of hating women.

Grow up, and get a grip.

Linehan is beloved to some women, abhorred by others, and completely disregarded by a lot more in between.

Not all women are GC. Get over it.

Cherry60 · 26/01/2023 23:31

'pathetic tactic' pretty much sums up all @MargaritaPie posts.

PSNonsense · 26/01/2023 23:35

@WaityWTF look at their posts then get back to me.

That is probably one of the stupidest things I've ever read on here!

Glinner is a hero. He stood up for women when it wasn’t popular or even acceptable. He was canceled and derided and lost his livelihood. But he didn’t back down as many did. Go on yersel Glinner!

I also don’t get why people raise that he’s divorced (or MRAs so anyway) as if it’s some sort of argument against his activism. Who cares if he’s divorced? It’s not a scandal in 2023 to be divorced!

Yeah I think there will be lots of people clamoring to pretend they were GC all along soon. Seems rapists and paedos and general creepy type men in womens spaces is not so popular after all.

You are wrong. They want the musical but not him and he won’t let it go. I don’t blame him. Why should he be disappeared from his own work?

TooBigForMyBoots · 26/01/2023 23:53

I knew him many years ago. I watched him on GB News and could see the toll this has taken on him.Sad

He's an amazing, creative, passionate, principled man. I wish him peace and sleep.💞

Not sure what you mean? The GRC has been debated in Scotland to death for the past 6 or so years.

334bu · 27/01/2023 07:30

Sure Margarita, nothing to see up here. Maybe you should join some of the threads discussing Scottish Prisons policy on holding male prisoners in female prisons, written with the help of Gordon Pike and the influence of some really" lovely" trans activists on some of our MSPs.

WendyAndClyde · 27/01/2023 07:43

Glimmer is wonderful. He's stood up for what is right, despite the how much it has cost him. Unlike the many other cowards out there.

GB news is pretty good too.

picklemewalnuts · 27/01/2023 07:47

It must be very frustrating, Margarita, having the likes of the feminists here, Glinner and Wings, and myriad other people monitoring what your mates are up to and holding them accountable. I mean, imagine watching other people's conversations, leaping in to pick fault, and reporting them all the time.

Oh wait...

SueVineer · 27/01/2023 07:51

I really think the tide is turning. It was absolutely revolting to see the Scottish parliament applause for a bunch of violent misogynists but I think it had to get worse before it got better.

kirinm · 27/01/2023 12:28

I definitely get a sense that things are about to change. More people willing to stand up and say something.

MargaritaPie · 27/01/2023 14:00

I've seen photos of the LGB-Alliance meetings.

Given that the majority are elderly, what's going to happen in a generation's time?

Ah yes, because they’re the only people in the near-70 million population who think women’s rights and safety are important, right? And everyone else doesn’t give a shit, especially young people?

They'll identify as being young.

ReedRite · 27/01/2023 14:09

DialSquare · 27/01/2023 14:07

They'll identify as being young.

😂

And that’ll magically make them BE young.

And anyone who scratches their head about that and thinks it might not literally be true in the real world, can just be cancelled.

It was because of the targeted attacks on anything linked to Glinner by TRA's
But you knew that.

picklemewalnuts · 27/01/2023 14:42

I'm shocked and disgusted at the vitriol aimed at Glinners on Twitter.

People clearly don't like him....

...standing up to them.

We're not all older you know. And our daughters follow in our footsteps.
