Public sector sex seminar

Name-changed as don't want to be identified!

Network Rail have been delivering a series of seminars promoting health and well-being. I'm ok with that. However, today they delivered (online) a seminar on how to have great sex Confused

The woman (famous?) delivering the seminar said that if a man wants sex but you are too tired, you could put some porn on TV and give him oral. It's important to give into the man's needs.

Oh, and also the menopause is no excuse for not having sex. There are medications which can sort out any problems you have in that department - apparently.

I just can't find the right words to express my feelings about this, but what I will say is that if you pay tax, then your money went into funding today's seminar.

They can pay for sex seminars - but not to keep my local station staffed!!! It will be a no go area for women. Disgraceful.

Rightsraptor · 04/11/2022 18:52

Network Rail??? WTF?

I take it this us for their staff but why on earth are they doing this? The sex lives of their staff are none of their damn business.

OperaStation · 04/11/2022 18:58

Good god OP! That’s horrendous. I hope you’re planning on writing a letter of complaint to your employer and to your MP.

I think I would even be tempted to go to the press with that one.

Forgotthebins · 05/11/2022 06:51

I would worry that if a company believes meeting men’s needs is what is paramount about sex, that they might not be thinking much about women’s boundaries, pleasure etc in all the rest of their work. What a ridiculous thing to do.

Artygirlghost · 05/11/2022 07:56

If this is true then send this story as a tip off to the media as well as making an internal complaint to HR.

The person who organised this should be fired.

The language and suggestions used are sexist and no employee should have to listen to that rubbish.

Pearfacebanana · 05/11/2022 22:38

Dear God. I just applied for a job there in internal Comms. Thanks fuck I didn't get it.

ArabellaScott · 07/11/2022 09:11

WTF?

ArabellaScott · 07/11/2022 09:12

Do you know who the provider is/was, OP?

ArabellaScott · 07/11/2022 09:20

I think it must be:

'Great sex and how to have it

As one of the world’s foremost writers on sex and relationships, Tracey Cox has toured the world as an international sex, body language and relationship expert. In this session, she is going to be telling you how to have great sex…and no topic is off limits. She’ll be talking about everything from sex myths, sex toys, orgasms and porn to the effect Covid and lockdowns have had on your sex life. There’ll be lots of practical advice and tips and you can ask her questions live throughout the session.

Speaker: Tracey Cox, author and columnist'

Nothing wrong with talking about sex/sexual health, per se. But the session as you've described it sounds fucking grim.

Feysriana · 07/11/2022 09:24

I’m guessing there wasn’t much detail about how to satisfy a woman sexually, how to give multiple orgasms with only clitoral stimulation, how to understand her cycle and how it affects her desires, how to understand her maternal instincts and please her in other ways during late pregnancy / motherhood, that kind of thing? No?

ScreamingBeans · 07/11/2022 18:14

Tracey Cox is an arsehole. She really is.

Believerinbiology · 14/11/2022 17:54

Not surprised to find this recent case when I googled network rail then.
