Victim Focus - accreditation.

Victim Focus staff keep saying their courses are accredited, including Train the Trainer. Does anyone know which organisation has done the accreditations? It seems a little strange that it isn't mentioned on their website as different professional bodies have different recognitions for what people can state is an Advanced CPD course.

Also noticed, on the latest training - Jaimi is second author. It's like a game of add a junior on when the shit's going down (ref Peter Kinderman's retracted paper recently). I've not seen Jaimi's name on any training yet.

@TimeForNowt it’s great to see someone has written an article about a lot of the issues. It’s not brilliantly written IMO and including a very famous, although badly photoshopped, picture from 8 Mile while claiming it’s of someone threatening someone else with an axe makes the whole article look badly researched. It’s getting a lot of attention though so will hopefully result in more attention to the whole issue.

Interesting to note that JT seems to be ignoring it so far, aside from blocking everyone who interacts with the tweet, and tweeting her wedding photos instead.

Yes, I am disappointed with the quality of writing also, it comes across as rushed/slapdash.

It is interesting to note that only Sally-Ann has been attacked since JT became aware of the article, despite other women being named. Interesting as well as awful, obviously.

She responded on Twitter - it was just before the publication of the report - JT was given the chance to reply to the report, its the tweets just before the report came out.

Just found them, thanks @PlanetB. I’d stupidly only been looking at her tweets since the article went up. She’s going down the “it’s because I’m too young, pretty, clever and successful that everyone hates me” route. Bloody hell.

I read an interesting thought on the wedding photo thing - that JT seems to be thinking that she can "pull the lesbophobia card" on the article/any criticism, by reinforcing her sexuality with this weirdly timed sharing (they were married what, two years ago? Bit more? Why would wedding photos be newly seen now?).

It would be an interesting tactic to go for, given JV is also lesbian...

@BeyondsEnergyObsession she’s always played the discrimination card when faced with any criticism, no matter how gentle. It’s always because she’s working class/ was a teen mum/ is a lesbian/ is too “femme”/ is too outspoken. Going down the homophobia route when, as you say, JV is a lesbian is particularly daft.

Have you seen her recent posts listing all the things she’s done in the last decade? Several of these claims have been credibly questioned already so to deliberately bring them all up again now is a bold move. She’s getting a lot less interaction from her tweets and deleting negative comments on her FB posts which is interesting.
