Apparently one of the 'villagers' who lives nearby called it 'possibly a crime of passion' WTAF?
RIP Gracie - another woman totally failed by those who are supposed to protect us.
That makes me so angry.
She didn't know him.
She wasn't friends with him.
She never had a relationship with him.
She took out a restraining order against him.
She was just living her life normally.
He saw her.
He became obsessed with her.
He harassed her.
He stalked her.
He killed her.
There's no passion there. There was no relationship, no interest in him on her part. And nothing romantic on his part either, no love, no passion, just a pathetic man obsessed with a stranger, feeling so entitled to force himself into her life that he felt he had a right to take it.
I hate how this type of crime is excused by people time and time again, whether a relationship took place or not. Girls and women being held responsible for the feelings of boys and men.
Girls being put under pressure to date boys when they don't want to - because he likes you - why won't you give him a chance - would it kill you to go out on a date with him? And actually, yes it could kill her. So could saying no.
Women being held responsible for their own murders - she said no, she humiliated him, she laughed at him, she had an affair, she broke up with him, she said the wrong thing at the wrong time, she left him, all excused under the banner of 'crimes of passion' because he couldn't help himself due to her behaviour.
It makes me furious and it makes me sick.
