How to fast without feeling hungry!?

I haven’t eaten since my dinner finished at 6pm. So it’s been 14 hours. I was going to try skip breakfast for first time today but already feel a bit weak like I need something to eat! Going out soon and feel like I need energy for the morning. How do you do it!?

Yes good ideas. I just hate that weak feeling especially if I have to go out!

Your body will adapt, it just takes a bit of getting used to. Feeling hungry is normal for humans but we’re all in the mindset that if we feel hungry we need to eat straight away which just isn’t necessary.

Have you had a big drink of water?? The water helped release glucose from cells

Will have more water! What’s a decent fast length that I could do each day? I.e when can I eat again!

I do 'cheat' on my fast and have black coffee which really helps.

I don’t drink tea or coffee unfortunately.

I did it slowly (as I wasn't sure how it would effect my health conditions). So did 14 hours for a few days then increased it by snow hour every few days. My average is now 18.5 hours without any ill effects. I think your body just adapts to it.

Ok thanks so I ended up doing 15 hours and just caved with a small bowl of Greek yoghurt, flax seeds and a pear.

I drink tea (green tea usually, or black) and it helps a lot. Also keep busy.

But yes you do get used to it. And some days are just hungrier than others. I do make it fit with my life too, so I might eat something earlier if I know I’m going to be busy over lunch time or doing something more physical.

Defo loads of water.

I do 19:5 fasting and when my stomach starts growling I picture a fire in my stomach then drink a glass of water. I see it as the water putting the fire out. It takes the hunger away

You'll get used to it. Good luck OP

I've been doing 16/8 for years. It took me a few weeks to get used to it but then my body adapted. Now I don't have any hunger before 16/17 hours of fasting.
