Fast 800 / 16:8 - 3 days in, I'm so hungry

I am ravenous by 11.30 when my eating window opens. Today I could've eaten non-stop for the entire 8 hours. Definitely gone over 800 calories and to be honest can't see how I could possible sustain so little every day, so was already thinking that I'd be around 1000 plus more exercise, but honestly, I'm fucking starving.

HELP. 2 stone to lose. Would like to lose a stone by Easter as have a nice holiday booked.

I did Fast 800 for about 11 weeks before Christmas and managed to lose about 20lbs.
Overindulged over Christmas and put 6lbs back on. Am back on the diet today.
I found the most satisfying meals from were sausage and cauliflower mash, steak with celeriac chips, chicken curry with lots of added vegetables, and vegetarian chilli.

Weighed yesterday and 3lbs down!!

But period started which explains some of last weeks moodiness so hoping it’s not a false loss due to menstrual bloat last week.

I’m deffo still starving. And deffo still not sticking to 800 cals. I am being “better” though. Avoiding pasta and rice and swapping them out with salad/cauliflower rice. Bread creeping in occasionally (last nights dinner was soup, and the fam had cheese on toast too and I couldn’t resist a slice).

So I guess I’m eating more consciously which is good as I make better choices but also bad as I reprimand myself when I don’t.

I’m exercising more which I do really enjoy.

Anyway, aiming for overall small improvements, more awareness and trying to be patient….

I have to keep the big holiday in mind and how vile I felt last year in summer clothes/swimwear. I do not want to feel like that again.

Really missing chocolate.

I’m doing the fast 800. I started on Boxing Day-so I’m 3 weeks in. It’s going well.

Things I’ve learnt: make sure you know exactly what you’re going to eat the next day before you go to bed. Preferably plan 2 or 3 days in advance. I eat lunch at noon or soon after and dinner at 18:30 ish.

I've just spotted this thread.

I started fast 800 before Christmas and lost 7lb in a week - recommended by doctor to lose weight for IVF.

Gained 8lb over Xmas and have managed to lose that again. Feel like I am struggling at the moment through. I'm not a great cook so having salad with most meals and becoming very very bored. Joining for accountability.

Been back on it for a week and lost all my Christmas weight. The rate of weight loss is slowing now, which is to be expected.
I'm probably going over the 800 calorie limit, but not by more than 100 ish. I still go for the snacks, but trying to stick to low carb ones

Ok so I’ve lost just over 6lbs so far in 3 weeks 🥳 and I think my body shape is changing a bit. I haven’t measured but I do feel ever so slightly less clunky and chunky. Definitely less bloated and my “system” feels less sluggish.

What is interesting is I’m definitely going over 800 cals per day and not massively watching what I eat. But I am eating more consciously, fewer carbs with lunch and dinner, trying to increase protein-rich food, but still enjoying the odd chocolate here and there. This is a massive shift from before as I was taking a “fuck it” approach and eating anything I wanted. And importantly I’m congratulating myself over the small displays of control and not berating myself when I deviate.

So I’m probably not doing fast 800 properly but something does seem to be doing something. Don’t want to speak to soon as it’s still early days, and I wonder if my slack approach might bite me in the bum at some point and I’ve still got over a stone to go. But progress is progress.
