I've found I eat meals and don 't pick if, I have a time limit on food and meal prep so I know what Im eating.

I spent Friday shopping and then prepping ready for this week - so strictly speaking I trialled this at the weekend.

So no food before 11am and no food after 7pm.

It helps to be 11 as the days I have some work the tea break is at 11am so can keep it the same all week

I have prepped soaked oats, carrot cake flavour and a carrot smoothie for brunch. Then I have made a batch of garlic mushroom soup (yummy) for afternoon high tea. Then meals are in the fridge for the week, mostly simple meals under 500 calories. Then I have a small selection of low calorie snacks to choose 2 from. Mini ice lollies 30cal, chocolate dessert 63 cal, that type of thing

@OttoGraph How are you getting on?

That soup sounds lovely, will you share the recipe?

It’s in the pinch of non book, I just didn’t have any cream cheese but it tasted so good without I’m not sure if I’ll add it next time 😂

I loved intermittent fasting. I was doing the 16:8 which often enough became 18:6. It really took my mind off food. I didn't meal prep, perhaps i did in the early days but really I just ate normally in my window. Came to see the window closing with a little relief. I had to stop it this year as I've had a gallbladder problem. The gallbladder does not like fasting, it needs to be triggered into action regularly. Anyway, it's getting removed tomorrow and i shall return to IF.

I must say, for weight loss the diet I've had to follow to keep the gallbladder happy had been the most effective thing ever, but it's not at all popular or considered healthy now - i've had to follow a strict low fat diet, all fat below 3% per 100g and sat fat below 1.5%. I couldn't have done it without the threat of intense pain, but it's been incredible for weight loss.

dudsville well done on the weight loss - hope the surgery goes well. I guess pain is a good incentive to stop and think about what your eating.

I'm loving having a late breakfast every morning and have lemon blueberry soaked oats this week - they are so delicious and guilt free. Im also making raspberry sorbet without sugar - just a touch of maple syrup and the sorbet is yummy. Swapped mushroom soup for lentil pancakes with Indian twist and eat with salad.
