Struggling with 16:8

I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now, but I'm finding myself so tired and grumpy and I'm struggling a bit. I think this would be ok if I was losing a lot of weight but I've lost somewhere around 2kg (it seems to fluctuate day by day) and I'm not sure if it's worth carrying on?
I've also been having crazy vivid dreams - I'm not sure if that's normal?

I've been doing it every day, eating healthily, cutting out white carbs and sugary stuff.

Should I keep going?! Feeling like maybe my body isn't responding in the way it should!

I've been doing it for 2 weeks now and I've found it pretty easy. I did overeat the other night, but considering I used to binge eat every single night, after a little sulk I didn't let it get me too down.

I haven't seen much weight loss, around 7 or 8lbs in total. This annoyed me at first but then I had to remind myself that I didn't want to lose much and there have been other benefits. I also haven't really changed my diet within the 8 hour eating window. I havent picked at naughty foods, but if I fancied a biscuit, I had a biscuit sort of thing. I did notice though how little if at all I craved sugar and went to those kinds of food, I've not wanted to go into the snack cupboard. I havent really missed them at all bar the other night. It sounds like you've been eating better than I have, not that I've been eating bad, but you know what I mean.

On the other hand I have less bloat, my skin already looks better, my clothes are going on easier and I feel mentally more clear and organised. I wish sleep would improve but that's always been an issue for me. I wish more weight would come off my bottom half. I've naturally chunky legs and at the age of nearly 35 I'm still to accept them. Wouldn't it be lovely if we could choose where our weight loss comes off!

It's hard to say if you should continue as it seems like you arent seeing much positives right now. Are you finding yourself hungry sooner? Maybe try the 14:10 or the other various ways of doing it? I read somewhere it took someone around 5 weeks to see a real difference in weight. For me this is a change in lifestyle. My binging was out of control at night so being able to STOP eating at 8pm has given me some control back.

I will stick at it as I really haven't felt it's too bad and I haven't felt deprived. But if im 2-3 months in and my body shape hasn't changed then I think I will feel abit disheartened. No, weight loss isn't the be all and end all but when you cut out binging on 10 chocolate bars, 5 bags of crisps, a pack of biscuits, a pack of cakes, a bag of sweets and 3 ice creams a time (pretty much every day), all foods we are led to believe have an effect on our weight, you bloody want to see a change in your body lol

I think 2kg in 3 weeks is decent! the author of Fast Feast Repeat suggests not expecting any weight loss until at least 28 days, and perhaps even more.

Are you taking measurements? I saw little movement on the scale but quite a lot of loss in my waist, hips and bust.

Do you recommend that book? @ladybranstonpickle

I'm actually really enjoying regaining control of my eating habits bit I'm abit disappointed my body isn't changing massively so it's interesting to see that weight doesn't come off that fast anyway.

Thankfully I'm finding it easy so it's easier to stick to. I think if it was difficult, feeling so deflated at times about the lack of weight loss/boy change would make me easily give it up

This is the second time I’ve tried it. The first time I was very hungry and grumpy (this was when we were doing home schooling, so wasn’t good for my kids). This time I’m fine.
The difference is the timings for me. Last time I stopped eating at 8 and didn’t eat until 12. This time I have my last meal at 6pm and then eat between 9.30 and 10am.
I’ve lost about 5 lb in 3 weeks which I’m very happy about because I don’t feel deprived in any way. I also sometimes do 16:8 and sometimes do 15:9 but I don’t sweat it.
