I'm low carbing 16:8 and fasting 4 days per week

I've bought explore green lentil pasta, but when I've put it in MFP this morning, it's more carbs than the same weight of wholemeal penne

This can't be right can it?????

What's the benefit to it if it's not low carb?

(By the way it was amazing)

Lentils are very carby so I'd think it would be right.

Better than pasta though?

It might be lower GI . I've looked at some of these replacement pastas and they seem like a con .

research reducing carb count of pasta , some interesting research around reheating it / etc lowers carbs 😂 only slightly - something to do with resistant starch

Cauliflower rice (I buy from frozen section Asda)
Spiralled courgette ! I make myself

Courgetti is awesome. If you haven't got a spiraliser thingy then use a veg peeler to peel thin slices, like posh fat tagliatelle.

Thinly sliced cabbage makes a great alternative to spaghetti. I use it all the time and steam it until it’s just al dente.

Interesting article @stevalnamechanger

Also evidence (I saw on a Michael Moseley programme) that If you freeze bread before using it, the carb load is less!!
