Apparently a year has gone ,,I have lost 26 pounds with6 too go ,,I love this way of eating ,,over the year I have only strayed off hours a few times ,even been out for meal earlier as I’m on the black coffee stage by 9 pm ,,I’m not a big drinker but do like a glass of wine or other on a weekend but I’ve done eating by 8 my eating window is 12 noon till 8pm
Sometimes it turns out to be a 6 hour window due to circumstances
I love it and bought myself a size 12 coat this morning ,love someone to chat back ,,if I can help I certainly will love to talk 😄

That's great! I've been doing it since coming back from holiday really fat Blush I think I'm sort of at a happy weight now but another half stone or so wouldn't hurt, so will aim to see what happens and make the healthy habits stick in the long run.

I need to get back on it.
Was doing 3pm to 11pm along with ditching the crisps and lost over 2 stone. Have put a little bit back on over the last year. Need that discipline back again.

About 7 pounds loss would be great.

Orangeblossom78 · 13/11/2019 13:33

That sounds great. Can I ask over the months does it become easier / more of a habit as time goes on? Thanks

MrsJonesAndMe · 13/11/2019 15:34

In answer to your question @orangeblossom78 (though I've not done it for very long)... it's easy enough to stick to but I find myself struggling with it in times of stress/illness when I fall back into bad habits. So my focus now will be to make it so habitual that I don't...because really those are the time I need to look after myself the most.

Blobbyweeble · 13/11/2019 15:55

I started it yesterday, I have at least 3 stone to lose.😢 Today I have an 11.30- 7.30 window to eat, so far I’ve had an egg and cress sandwich and homemade mushroom soup with 2 slices of sourdough bread. Thinking of a small jacket potato with tuna and salad later if I’m hungry.
I’ve stopped taking milk in coffee and tea so I can have those whilst fasting. I’m also having lots of herbal tea but not fruit based ones.
Does this sound like a good plan?

ferrier · 14/11/2019 18:09

Sounds good to me. I think we all make small adjustments to make it work.
For me once I got in the habit it was fairly easy. Still have to show a certain amount of discipline but I did cope just fine.
The problem is things like holidays when it feels wrong not to have the breakfast or eat cake all the time! My 3-11 window has to be adjusted too to try and fit in with the way other people eat, and then it's hard to ignore the late evening nibbles. Then bam .... out of the habit.
Not this time though. I will go straight back on it the day after the last guest has left.

Great work OP! I love 16:8. My window most days is 11am - 7pm, and I stray probably every 10 days or so but without really caring. The majority of the time I stick to it. For me it's basically a late breakfast, then a normal day, then a bit of basic Minstrel-avoidance in the evenings. Sometimes I go to bed early to avoid the Minstrels, and then next morning feel AWESOME because I beat the cravings and had an early night too!
