Can you combine 16:8, OMAD and low carb?

I’ve been doing 16:8 for about a month and it’s going well, way easier than I imagined however during my eating period I can get a bit out of control while cooking the kids dinner/getting them snacks. Anyway, my Mondays are about to get crazy and OMAD may well happen naturally on that day. So say I’d have a meal around 2pm or 7pm, depending on the day. Just a normal meal. Then overall reduce my simple carbs as I’m terrible for that and exposed to them more (work in a bakery), and continue with the 16:8.

Sound sensible or bad?

I mean, is OMAD for one day a week even a thing? Or is that just labelling something that it’s not.

I would have thought that low carbing would make the process a lot easier, as you won't be hungry. So go for it!

I do OMAD and low carb (try to keep keto, but usually between 20g and 50g). It's totally manageable and the low carving staves off a lot of the hunger pangs.

Sorry forgot to mention I stick to OMAD usually but will adjust to 16:8/18:6 and 20:4 depending on the day and the situation. No massive issues and weight loss has been sustained and consistent. Smile

After a lot of faffing about with various diets I've got into a pattern of 16:8 most days. OMAD on a couple of days and keeping it all low carb as others have said it staves off the hunger. So over the last 8 weeks I've lost a stone without much effort I don't think. I'm naturally not as hungry and can't eat nearly as much portion wise as I used to! Go for it and see how you get on.
