Only 2lbs off after 9 fast days

I’m on fast day 9 (week3)I had two 18 hour fasts on week one, three in week two in four this week. I was trying to lose a few pounds for a wedding this Saturday. I’ve tried so hard, had only one glass of wine each week, limited chocolate, no crisps, no cakes, no bread, no sugary tea, no takeaways and I’ve been drinking lots of water and zero calorie lemonade. I’ve been decorating so been busy cleaning/ painting etc and every evening I’ve been going on a 3 mile walk with my baby to keep him awake until bed time. On my non fast days I’m still having a minimum 12 hour fast and a limited amount of the above foods. But after all of this I’ve still only lost 2lbs. I have one stone to lose since baby3. After my second pregnancy I used 5.2 successfully to lose 1.5 stones in 12 weeks. I thought I’d try it this way this time as I’d left it a little late and have a special dress I’d like to wear this weekend. It’s not looking doable with only 48 hours to go. Any advice?

Have you been counting calories too? Or have you had anything a bit saltier than usual meaning you’re retaining water? What has been a typical fast and non-fast day?

Well if you overeat all the rest of the time you can’t really expect to loose wt. although walking is great for your health, flat no cardio walking isn’t a huge calorie burn.
You need to consider your actual intake of calories consumed.

Thanks ladies! I am watching calories too. My typical fast day is 2 scrambled eggs with 2 tablespoons of baked beans, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and a 34 calorie rice cake, chicken salad, lettuce, onion, tomato, table spoon low calorie coleslaw. Non fast day, home made veg and lentil soup, tea with 1% milk 1 tsp sugar and skinny whip biscuit (98 cals) home made chilli, with rice, pineapple or melon and 99 cal choc moose. At the weekend (sat) 2glasses dry white and remaining glass on Sunday night. I’m drinking lots of water and having an apple/ tangerine or small banana if I’m starving and also have Sprite Zero for a wee change. I’m logging what I eat with an app and even having min 12 hours fast on nfd. I live at the top of a steep hill and the walk home involves me climbing it with my 22lb baby in the buggy. I’m being much more active as the redecorating is hard work and I’m being very strict when fasting - only water. It’s very disappointing. I’ll try and add more exercise next week. 😩

@LollyBmummy3 From what you've told us that you eat on a Fast day, you are eating too many sugary / carby things (choc moose, biscuit, rice, a lot of fruit etc.). Although your overall calorie intake may be ok, you're having far too many carbs / too much sugar to push your body into fat burning mode. The focus should be mainly protein and non-starchy veg (Mediterranean style). Diet sweet / fizzy drinks are not a good idea either. Although low-cal, studies have shown that your body behaves in the same way as it does when you consume sugar.

As pp said, too much sugar and ditch the wine. That one bottle contains half a days food in calories.

For your fast days, I'd ditch the rice cake, the baked beans and the berries. Keep a few berries for a treat on non fast days and ditch all the other fruit on the non fast days. Melon and pineapple are a no apart from the occasional treat when in maintenance.

Also try and do without the lemonade and cut down on tea with milk?

It'll hopefully get easier when you cut down on the carbs.
