Fast 800 when you are virtually vegan

Is it possible?

So, I eat eggs but no other animal products. I did fast 800 on weekdays for 3 weeks & lost 7lbs so pretty good. But then plateaued! I’ve just had a couple of days off and put a few lbs back on but needed a break from it!

This was average days food:

B- soya yoghurt, cherries, walnuts & chia
L- lentil & tofu salad with avocado or quinoa with bean chilli & quorn
D- scrambled eggs with small slice of rye bread

It is more carby than the normal plan but not eating dairy means I have to substitute with other things like nuts and avocado.

Am starting again today but wondered what people’s thoughts were on doing this dairy free- i’ve been feeling very well on the 800 diet as have been eating very good quality food & haven’t felt hungry really at all. I might add houmous in too as haven’t been eating a lot of it

That’s quite a niche question. You might get more answers on this FB group?

In all honesty, I do think vege and vegans find it harder, because the protein sources are both more calorific and often more carby too, but it is possible. The first thing to do would be to look at all the available fat sources and protein sources that you can eat, and then build your menu around them. You might find some of them aren't worth it. It's definitely worth looking at your menu plan over a week to ensure you're getting sufficient nutrition
