Skiping breakfast and diabetes

The newspapers are reporting an increased risk of diabetes in those who skip breakfast. I think this is down to the idea of scatty eating, and so snacking more and eating bigger lunch, if you miss it. I dont snack, and I feel I have retrained my eating in general through 16:8 to eat less. Not at risk am I? It just worries me a bit, but I really feel so much better on thismode of eating.

Where’s the article? Tbh, science reporting in the newspapers is usually really bad and bears no resemblance to the actual research findings. I thought fasting was proven to be beneficial for type 2 diabetes and could even reverse it?

For every suggestion to make you healthy, there will be an article somewhere suggesting the opposite.

It is in the Daily Fail...say no more, I guess. I just find 16:8 so easy though it is quite dramatic, and hope it is without downsides

Sheesh, I just turned to this board, thinking I should try harder with the not eating for 16 hours thing, because of my family history of diabetes.

It is my understanding that constant insulin spikes contribute to the problem. If you aren't eating, you aren't producing insulin. If the breakfast avoiders then go on to graze all day that could be the problem. 16:8 works for me and the meal I skip is breakfast.

Really? Is there an article link? I find this hard to believe?
