Hello again. After losing around two and half stone in eight weeks before the summer I took a couple of months off. Mainly low carbed, walked a lot but more calories.

Surprisingly I've only put a couple of pounds back on, I thought it would be lots more. I want to lose another couple of stone so I'm starting again today, 800 calories a day with photos of food, logging on MFP etc.

Today I had Greek yogurt with cherries, apple, and chopped nuts for breakfast. Salad for lunch with some extra pumpkin seeds.

Dinner was sweet chilli chicken with cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower with cheese, a bit of sweet potato, a tiny bit of cous cous and red cabbage. Bit carby but not terribly so.

Dinner was a bit of a fridge and cupboard mish mash. Frozen fish, with double cream, grated cheese, a tin of value sliced mushrooms and loads of cauliflower and broccoli. Not the most beautiful of dinners but very filling.

Recent food! The lunchbox I made for a course yesterday. And today's dinner which is roast chicken with vegetables in creamy sauce.

Cute lunchbox!

GraceGildee · 05/10/2016 13:53

Lush dinner last night, veg and salmon with added cream and cheddar. Got my winter clothes out and they're all two sizes too big. Grin

That sounds gorgeous! Well done on clothes size Star that is amazing as dress sizes are hard to lose, I have been stuck on a 12 for months.

Maureeno · 15/10/2016 22:30

I will give it a try. Where do you get BSD book?.

Maureeno · 15/10/2016 22:35

Any tips on weight loss. .?

yumyumpoppycat · 16/10/2016 17:51

Hi Maureeno, I have put some tips and links on the main thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/fasting_diet/2756716-blood-sugar-diet-thread-5?

Hi Grace hope all going well with you.

RavioliOnToast · 07/11/2016 10:24

For breakfast when you have Greek yog, do you have low fat/fat free or full fat?

WizzardHat · 01/01/2017 21:38

Those dinners all look fantastic - I will be trying the peanut sauce as well.

I hope you don't mind a question - please ignore if you do, but do you find the weight comes off so fast you get loose skin? I'm just about to start the diet on Tuesday, and while the fast drop of weight really appeals, I'm a bit worried about that.

WizzardHat · 01/01/2017 21:40

Maureeno - I got the book on ebay for about £3.50 I think. They have helpful website as well: thebloodsugardiet.com/

GraceGildee · 25/01/2017 10:59

Place marking on my thread as I need to get back on this.

Ok, three things.
I can't have dairy. How do unsweetened soya,, almond and coconut milk work on this plan, and unsweetened soya yogurt?

Also I've seen a mention of hummus, where do pulses come into it.

When people say mayo, is that homemade? I know Hellman's had sugar in it.

Thanks x

thenewaveragebear1983 · 28/02/2017 19:00

Hi grace! Hope you're doing well? I remember your thread #1 and all your lovely meals so shamelessly place marking!

Re:pp question about Mayo - the new Helmans one has no sugar. I can't remember it's exact babe but it's the new fancy one in the jar, Full fat variety.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 28/02/2017 19:13

Actually, it's a Heinz one. It does actually have a very tiny amount of sugar per 100g so per tablespoon it's stated as zero.

Thanks, the Hellman's I have says it's 1% sugar. My oh probably got a really old batch from the pound shop....

Can anyone tell me of I can have pulses on this diet, and soya products. Thanks so much

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/03/2017 19:24

Pulses yes, but in moderation as they do have carbs but they are included in the recipes in the book. Soya I'm not sure about as i don't eat it, do you mean tofu?

We have a long running thread in the 5:2 section where someone might know, but it's really advisable to read the book. It's in tesco at the moment for £3.85!.

Oblomov17 · 02/03/2017 14:12

I love seeing all your pictures. Your food always looks so incredibly appetising.

RueDeDay · 03/03/2017 06:59

Another one impressed by your meals... Place marking for inspiration!!

Oblomov17 · 06/06/2017 14:36

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello OP.
I was on your old thread. I'm on the BSD and threads for Micheal Mosley's 800 Blood Sugar Diet.
But I adore your threads. Your pictures, I love, because they always look so colourful and you always have SO many different food types on there!!
